Description

Le Labo The Matcha 26 was released in Fall of 2021. Inspired by The Matcha, it encompasses more than just the scent of the tea - the experience, the mediative quality.

From the brand - "Introverted and deep by nature, THÉ MATCHA 26 is a skin scent, something meant for, and only those individuals lucky enough to be very close to, the wearer. It carries a noble stillness. To us, it is a scented reminder of home, of welcomed solitude, and of all things familiar and treasured."

Notes of matcha green tea, fig, vetiver, bitter orange. Le Labo The Matcha 26 is an eau de parfum, edp.

Le Labo The Matcha 26 Reviews

Fragrantica - "Smelled this and purchased immediately. First and foremost, this is not a “Matcha” scent, and frankly not a tea scent at all (like the house’s Noir 29)...In terms of the notes, the vetiver dominates here. I’m partial to vetiver, so this is a plus for me, but if you’re not a fan then this probably wouldn’t be tolerable. It has a similar body to Etat Libre D’Orange’s Fat Electrician. Take that fragrance, add some additional musk to the base, and overlay some sort of white flower and a creamy, almost honey-ish fig, and you’ve got this fragrance. To me it’s multifaceted, but not overcomplicated. Sophisticated, refined, yet it remains youthful."

Fragrantica - "The dry down is INSANE. It's like a creamy, nutty chai tea. It gives that little warm burn the same exact way a warm chai latte does."

Fragrantica - "It opens with a huge dose of tea and something mildly citrusy and sweet. The citrus fades away quickly after 10 minutes, but the tea scent is preserved and is intertwined with a crisp floral accord; this is my favorite stage of the fragrance. It remains like that for a couple of hours and is where the fragrance really shines. You have a herbal and green facet with the matcha that is elevated even more with the floral notes, but then brought back down to earth with the vetiver. This stage reminds me very SLIGHTLY of Bal d'Afrique."
