Strawberry represents the strawberry's full life cycle - from the floral bud to the red skin. With top notes of bergamot, Mara strawberry and pink pepper; middle notes of jasmine petals, jasmine lactone captive and woodland greens; and base notes of cedarwood, oakmoss, captive musks and orris. Fragrantica: This smells so good, it smells like literally strawberry, the actual fruit with the leaves and everything. I LOVE IT.
Fragrantica: Green musky strawberry that is very masculine. Nothing sweet about this fragrance. The strawberry note is also very light. No milkiness either.
Fragrantica: If you’re looking for a sweet, sugary, juicy strawberry then I strongly advise you don’t buy this in hopes that’s what it will be, as you will be sorely disappointed. I went in expecting it to be what it was based off what I had heard about it and I am delighted. This is bergamot, strawberry plant, milky goodness. So fresh, so addictive — it’s really a pleasure — a rare successful blind buy for me. I really didn’t have much hopes for longevity and sillage based on some other M+G but Strawberry is good. Sprayed 12 hours ago and it’s still there, although faint now. It was really strong for the first 4-5 hours though, I know this as I couldn’t stop sniffing myself. Sillage is moderate, as is projection but longevity is definitely there. Layers sooo well with Molecule 01.
Fragrantica:Most natural strawberry I’ve ever smelled. Think of fresh strawberries with the stem still attached. Add in a lime rind for those who’ve never smelled bergamot and that’s the opening. I definitely pick up the pink pepper and green notes. I don’t get a lactonic vibe. As it dries down I get the orris, cedar, and musk. I’ll definitely be wearing this in the spring and try it out in the summer.
Malin + Goetz: I was interested to try this parfum, as I enjoy the scent of garden strawberries. This captures a garden that has strawberries growing, some that may have fell from the branches, some fresh, some even returning to the earth. This smells like reading by a garden that has strawberries in those stages, with an earthy and all encompassing garden scent. Perhaps the garden also has green beans, blueberries, tomatoes - it just brings you to a place outdoors in the sun, but in no way is this a beach sun - this is a country sun, a sun in a field, a sun by a garden, a sun that makes you happy and might duck behind the clouds or emerge after a rainstorm. I didn’t understand why people were saying it was gender neutral/not gender specific, but after trying it, now I understand. Absolutely lovely.
