Description

Pimiento launched in 2020. It is an aromatic Mexican cocktail where the warmth of a chili/saffron duo hits the freshness of alcohol and ice cubes. It features top notes of chili pepper, clary sage and saffron; middle notes of ginger, geranium and blackberry; and base notes of ice and woody notes. Pimiento is an eau de parfum, edp.

MILLER ET BERTAUX PIMIENTO REVIEWS

Fragrantica: This is clary sage front and center, watery, tea-like, with a translucent woodiness. It feels enhanced by a dusting of red pepper and ginger, like a veil of spice, weaving in and out, teasing but never forthright, and that somehow lends an intrigue to my nose. Now you smell it, now you don't, then again, like a holograph, flickering. Its subtlety is best appreciated with little distraction. Just sitting and breathing, Pimiento is there, calm and cool. I would certainly sip with relish any cocktail that tastes like this smells, in a cabana, facing the infinite ocean. The sillage caresses until it dissipates, leaving a trace of dry woods close to the skin.

Fragrantica: Whilst all the notes are relevant and detectable nose to skin this clearly is meant to be a sweet fragrant pimento scent. Gorgeous blind buy, though not a powerhouse, it provides a fresh uplifting scent along the lines of Odin 11 Semma, Slumberhouse Grev and also Oliver and Co. Mousse II though these achieve the smooth cooling spice feel with clove. When I sometimes register the chili it also provides a lovely déjà vu trip down memory lane to L’Artisan Piment Brulant though less oily. I feel the sweetness is achieved via the black currant though again this is detectable more so nose to skin. The saffron is very much a complimentary support and thankfully barely noticeable. The clary sage ever present almost helping cross this scent over into a traditional cologne vibe softens after 30 minutes simply combining to help provide the sweet dry pimento smell… If you would like a refreshing natural twist on an aromatic spicy cologne I’m sure this would keep you happy!

Beautinow: Fresh, uplifting and spicy.
