An excerpt of a review from Really Ree:
The star of the show here is crisp juniper berry, the signature element of gin and one of the favourite cocktail ingredients in the Twenties. Senior Perfumer, Nathalie Koobus says, ”As a toast to London’s glamorous 1920s party era, I had a gin-soaked cocktail in mind. The fragrance is both warm and cold – just like the festive season itself”.
The idea of the scent being both warm and cold really resonates with me. The juniper berries give it that crispness, like freshly fallen snow, whilst the musk, sandalwood and patchouli provide an earthy warmth that is really comforting like an open fire. It’s the perfect winter dichotomy that evokes a sense of freedom and possibility, and gives you a reassuring hug at the same time, if you know what I mean?
