Description

Outremer Vanille is a powdery, delicately spiced vanilla blend, reminiscent of spun sugar and warm cookies. This Amber Vanilla scent is not so much a simple, one-note vanilla as it is mouth-watering sugar cookies....or is it fresh-baked cake? A bit of cotton candy? Vanille is an eau de toilette and is made in small batches.

Outremer Vanille Reviews

Fragrantica - "It smells like the base note is vanilla and the top note is a burnt caramel sugar. I get more of the caramel sauce on a flan or a crème brûlée than a cotton candy here honestly. I also adore the art on the label... it's very old world and reminds me of art I saw in Prague. I can imagine this is great in fall or winter, but I am kind of a psychopath I guess because I wear this in the summer too >:)"

Fragrantica - "Gorgeous vanilla that comes on easy and mellow, gets sweeter and deeper and lingers. One of the best. Not overly sweet. I would Purchase over and over again."

Fragrantica - "This is THE MOST incredible perfume oh my gosh it’s amazing it smells so delicious and lasts a really long time on me, if you spray it on clothes it lasts even longer and the sillage is great, you will get never ending compliments on this it’s just so yummy. I definitely agree with people saying it smells like a warm vanilla dessert or waffles but not too sickly sweet and it does have a hint of cotton candy that creeps in as it drys down but it’s not overpowering in my opinion. This to me is just high quality delicious vanilla, I couldn’t be without it and for the price it really is just the cherry on the cake!!!"

As the Three Bears said- "just right."

I love vanilla. I love it in cake, I love it in cookies, I love it in my coffee... and I love it in fragrance. I've been on the hunt for the "perfect" vanilla for a long time- for a vanilla with no smoky or dark notes, and no intruding florals. Just a nice, yummy vanilla. This is the closest I have come to that ultimate vanilla, and until another vanilla scent displaces it, it reigns as "perfect." Vanille Outremer opens with a very true vanilla extract note. Vanilla bean. As the scent develops, I'm getting Nilla wafers, and vanilla custard. No florals; no leather; no smoke. Just good old angel food cake-y vanilla. Another bonus- it's inexpensive. And the Art Nouveau label is lovely. And it has surprisingly long wear time. When I tested it after ordering a decant from Surrender to Chance I could still detect it on my arm the next morning. It would also be the perfect vanilla to layer with other scents. It might "just" be vanilla, but it's a gorgeous, sweet, lush one. Highly recommended!
