Description

Parfumerie Generale Collection Croisière (Cruise Collection) - Mojito Chypre takes a historic fragrance family (chypre) and twists it a bit. Although it is built around the classic chypre ingredients of labdanum, oak moss and patchouli and the more modern additions of vetver and vanilla, there is no citrus (bergamot) top notes and instead there is the addition of lime, strawberry, mint and rum which add a playful touch. The fragrance conjures the atmosphere of beach parties and summer celebrations from Ibiza to Miami. In the drydown the gorgeous chypre notes come out. Mojito Chypre features top notes of lime, mint, strawberry and rum; middle notes of patchouli, vetiver and labdanum (rockrose); and base notes of vanilla and oakmoss. It is an eau de parfum, edp.

Pierre Guillaume has created a novel interpretation of marine fragrances. Collection Croisière (the Cruise Collection) is all about the aquatic note, one of the most difficult and maligned family of notes. It is the exploration of wide-open spaces, untamed wilderness and far-flung landscapes to be explored. It celebrates the sea, faraway islands, jungles, but above all… movement. Mojito Chypre is the first installment of the second set of four fragrances in the collection.

In choosing this theme, Pierre Guillaume invites us to reconsider a fragrance family through the prism of independent perfumery. Aquatics turn into orientals, chypres loosen up, and leather, dressed up with chrome, turns into a vehicle of freedom.
