Parfums de Marly Meliora is a tribute to the mother of the famous stallion Tartar, the brood mare Meliora. launched in 2013, it was created by Nathalie Lorson. Meliora opens with a delightful burst of juicy fruits, sweet but not at all artificial or cloying. In the heart, luscious rose blends with sweet ylang and green lily for a fresh, natural feminine core, while a woody, musky vanilla base lingers in the air for hours to come. Gorgeous, restrained and full of life, Meliora is a fragrance that enchants with its romanticism.
Parfums de Marly Meliora features top notes of black currant, raspberry and red fruits; middle notes of rose, ylang-ylang and lily; and base notes of vanilla and musk. It is an eau de parfum, edp.
Fragrantica - "This fragrance is linear in the best way. If you love the opening, you will not be disappointed as the notes linger for many hours. There is just the slightest hint of soapiness in the dry down. Enough to make it feel clean and cozy. To me, this is an elevated take on the typical summer fruity gourmand. It smells fun, approachable and just a little bit synthetic, but definitely still smells classy and expensive. I can understand the cult appeal and I think this would be a major crowd pleaser."
Fragrantica - "Smells like Tinker Bell to me. Like green leaves and blackcurrent, and it almost has that tiny little voice of a fairy, and makes sounds like the highest piano note. Unique, and super feminine, could be nice almost any time."
Fragrantica - "Meliora is dreamy! This has easily become my signature. I find myself walking by it and always stopping to smell the bottle. Absolutely love her."
Fragrantica - "Oh Meliora. There's an effortless elegance about her. She's green and gardeny, fresh and juicy, soothing and slightly sweet. Shes feminine-outdoorsy, where Gypsy Water is unisex-outdoorsy (garden vs forest). I actually chose Meliora as my wedding scent, because it was an outdoor ceremony in summer, and I thought it would suit that perfectly."
