Description

Parle Moi Guimauve de Noel is French for Christmas Marshmallow. In Provence pastry chefs bake Fougasette, a sugary brioche flavored with orange blossom water, especially around Christmas time. This treat inspired Michel to create this gourmand fragrance with notes of neroli, caramel and vanilla. Vanilla is an especially comforting scent of childhood and is an immediately identifiable smell. In this fragrance the quality of the vanilla is quite wonderful and the neroli is a bit green and cuts through the sweetness of the caramel and vanilla notes. This fragrance is fast becoming a favorite of perfume bloggers. Parle Moi Guimauve de Noel was created by Michel Almairac in 2016 and is an eau de parfum, edp.

From the brand - "Christmas celebrations, bursts of laughter, delicious treats to eat… The comforting scents of childhood, immediately identifiable fragrances that take you by the hand and plunge you into your earliest memories… Carefree days, undiluted joy, immediate and absolute trust. The orange blossom and vanilla-scented sugar in Guimauve de Noël (Christmas Marshmallow) offer an instant of respite, of letting go, of tender and reassuring memories."

Parle Moi de Parfum (Tell Me About Perfume) was founded by Benjamin Almairac, son of reknowned perfumer Michel Almairac, who is the nose behind the collection. Michel Almairac is one of the great living perfumers credited with the creation of over 200 perfumes. Benjamin had always wanted to follow his family tradition but he wanted to make something new. He did not want to be a perfume creator because of the pressures of being as good as his father but instead chose to create a fragrance house inspired by the art of making perfume. In a beautiful space in Paris' chic Marais district, Parle Moi de Parfum is a place for perfume lovers to visit with an expert and learn how the perfume process works. As Benjamin says, "to talk about how you create, how you extract, to talk to visitors as my father talked to me.” He gave his father free reign in creating the fragrances and his father selected the raw materials and performed weighing sessions, assessments and critiques until the olfactory form in his imagination matched what he smelled in the fragrance. Each scent was given a number that corresponds to the number of trials before arriving at the final formula. For Guimauve de Noel, that number is 31.

Parle Moi Guimauve de Noel / 31 Reviews

Fragrantica - " It opens on my skin quite citrusy but after several minutes the light, fluffy, delicious orange blossom comes through. While the dry down is similar to LDBS it’s not an overwhelmingly heavy syrupy scent that you have to tolerate to get to that dry down. I really think the name is misleading because this fragrance works just as well if not better in warm weather. It’s a great year round scent, but I think the projection & longevity are better in higher temperatures. One of my top ten favorites!"

Fragrantica - "It’s like a perfect combination of many scents I already love but this is more refined and pretty. The citrus is not screechy and the sugar is not artificial, there is an almond powdery touch too. If you like Oriana, D&G Femme, Rouge Smoking, Mandorlo… try this."

Fragrantica - "Absolutely beautiful. This smells like the sweet orange blossom and sugar syrup that tops knafeh, a Moroccan dessert. The orange blossom here is so delicate, perfectly done. It literally makes my husband follow me around. It is not sickly sweet or thick like LDBS; the marshmallow note is all they share. This marshmallow is soft and fluffy. The longevity isn’t great, a few hours, but it is absolutely addicting. Simple yet simply stunning fragrance."

Fragrantica - "It has that French simplicity that some will find boring and some will find chic. For me, it's a super wearable airy, sweet orange blossom that's not cloying or artificial. "

Fragrantica - "orange blossom icing that is sugary sweet and feels rather indulgent to wear. has an airiness to it that truly makes me want to press my nose to my pulse points while sighing blissfully. imagine an orange creamsicle but no orange popsicle just cream!!!!! Gorgeous"
