La Befana, the legendary Christmas witch celebrated in Italian culture, is the inspiration for this magical fragrance. Befana visits children during the holiday season, leaving candy and treats for the well-behaved, and garlic & soot prints for the naughty. Find this fragrance somewhere in the middle, with the sweetness of tansy & the dark spell of incense enchanting all who smell it. A herbal, floral, powdery fragrance that is reminiscent of a fresh cup of herbal tea, coming indoors on a frosty evening, wrapping yourself in a favorite sweater and finding a bit of life in the snow. Le Befana features notes of blue tansy, frozen rose petals, incense and wool. It is an eau de parfum, edp.
PEARFAT PARFUM LE BEFANA REVIEWS
Reddit: I bought myself an early Christmas present of a small bottle of Pearfat's La Befana (blue tansy, frozen rose petals, incense, wool) while getting a discovery set for my mom. Now that I'm not terrified of using up my sample, I'm busting it out all over. I literally wept the first time I sprayed it, because it smells so much like my late grandmother's house at Christmastime. I don't think any perfumer could compete with Allie Kiral when it comes to the category of Italian American grandma scents. But beyond the childhood associations, gosh, what a special perfume. It's got an herbal tea aspect and a cozy powderiness that is neither sweet nor like baby powder. I have never been to Catholic mass, so its church incense doesn't hit for me in any kind of religious way but smells beautiful. Ambery vanilla cozy sweater scents don't hit right for me, because those aren't the scents I associate with being wrapped up on a cold day. This fuzzy, wooly, herbal perfume is my winter.
