Description

This is for a 9ml manufacturer atomizer mini of the newest Perfumer H fragrance Clay. Clay is a woody earthy fragrance that launched in 2026. Created by Lyn Harris, it is an exploration of landscape, materiality and light - a scent that is inspired by the earth and the life it sustains. It captures the raw beauty of the natural world in its most elemental form. At the heart of the fragrance is a baked clay accord, an idea Harris explored extensively throughout its development. The warmth of charred woods and sandalwood evokes the soft sweetness of clay, while Ambroxan radiates a distinctive minerality. A touch of Maltol amplifies the impression of clay being fired and baked, bringing depth and texture to the composition. Orange flower threads through the fragrance, illuminating and energizing its structure. After traveling through the Haouz Valley and the High Atlas mountains, Harris created this scent around a baked clay accord. Clay is understood through touch before smell. It is dense, cold when wet, dusty when dry, then irreversibly changed by heat. Harris approaches clay through contrast instead. The fragrance is built between dryness and luminosity, mineral textures and flowers, charred woods and softer materials. From their website: There was this red clay, and then we were just by the Atlas Mountains. I was surrounded by junipers and, further down, you had the orange trees. It stunned me how the land could be so dry, and the beauty that comes from it. Juniper enters as evidence of a plant surviving inhospitable terrain, more than as an aromatic note. Red earth stops short of a conventional soil accord, and the mountains avoid an overtly woody rendering: the materials take on spatial functions instead. Orange flower is the light. There’s a lot of light in contrast to the woods, but there are a lot of woods. Clay features notes of Calabrian bergamot, Italian mandarin, French juniper, Tunisian orange flower absolute, sandalwood, Virginia cedarwood, Ambroxan and musk. It is an eau de parfum, edp.
