Description

Regime des Fleurs Cacti was originally launched in 2016 and created by Mathieu Nardin and falls in the Aromatic Aquatic fragrance group for men and women.  Notes of this fragrance are, Aleo Vera, watery notes, black tea, shiso, cucumber, heliotrope, mate, jasmine Sambac, bergamot and amber.

From the brand's founder and perfumer - "To me, a cactus represents the inherent power of nature: even as the desert scorches, an aquatic world is hidden within this incredible plant’s secretive interior. On the hottest day of the year, an oasis appears–sparkling cucumber water and the earthy freshness of black tea and maté. Juicy Italian bergamot and the zest of shiso leaf, adorned with mimosa blooms. Grounded on a bed of sensual and crisp amber, this fragrance is a memorable, uplifting, and universally beloved summer splash."

Regime des Fleurs Cacti Reviews

Fragrantica - "This is absolute, pure heaven. Italian villa, sun, cucumbers. A little oily, in a good way. And a heart of tea and shiso leaves. Truly a fragrance whose notes actually show up in full glory. A new signature."

Fragrantica - "A lovely dewey cucumber tea scent. Not earth-shattering, but just beautiful and easy to wear."

Fragrantica - "For a green scent, I actually find this incredibly unique - so I'm going to have to disagree with the majority of the other reviewers. A lot of green scents have a pretty generic citrus top note but this is grassy, and I almost get a little sandalwood in the base, although it isn't in the notes listed. There is something a little funky about this, which sets it apart from the typical "clean" vibe you get from green scents."

Fragrantica - "I got this in a sample bundle, and immediately ordered more after wearing it for the first time. I now own a bottle. As someone who grew up in the Sonoran desert, it may not literally smell like a cactus or literally smell like aloe vera (which kind of smells like body odor if you smell the freshly-cracked-open plant), but is perfectly evocative of the desert after rain. One of my favorite fragrances and I can't wait for the brand to start making this again. The closest scent I've found is DS&Durga's Sweet Do Nothing, which is maybe 80% the same, but I prefer Cacti."

Fragrantica - "Cacti accurately captures the feeling of cracking open a fresh aloe vera plant. Succulent and splashy green, with a funny little shiso twist. Perfect for summer. Gives an aura of cooling serenity."

Fragrantica - "What a glistening delight this is, truly reminiscent of DS&Durga's Sweet Do Nothing with its verdant snap and brisk, mouth-watering glow. My very first brush with Régime des Fleurs, and I am most pleasantly greeted with liquid light, dewdrops refracted through green glass, a stem breaking clean. That rush of green tea too, not the dry, flaky leaves, but as glass straws in a tall green drink, a water garden in Kyoto, aloe vera squeezed fresh from the stalk, luxury in a whisper. Not earthy, not woody—sappy.

There’s this brightness too, like the first slice into a cucumber, fresh and fresh and fresh. A crisp, watery bite of cucumber aldehyde too gives the fleeting feel of cut grass and chilled air and satin pajamas on cold skin. I definitely spot a citrus undertone too, but less like citrus in the usual sense, not zingy but glowy. Something green rather than yellow. The feeling of zest, rather than zest itself.

This isn’t a desert rose or a cactus flower scent—it’s the spine, the juice, the internal water of the plant itself. Not a mirage. Not a bloom. Just survival: hydrated, lucid, luminous. And yet for all that greenness, all that morning-sharp clarity, it’s not sterile but intimate. Skin-like transparency, like the breath of someone waking up in silk sheets and sunlight. A clean but not soapy musk trails the base, and the whole thing feels like the scent equivalent of chilled aloe on a sun-warmed shoulder.

Not bad at all for a first toe-dip into Régime. Consider me intrigued. No resin. No floral drama. No drydown theatrics. Just clarity. And sometimes, that’s the most luxurious thing of all."
