An excerpt of a review from Basenotes:
This chypre fragrance launched before the mod-era took off and was discontinued at the start of the flower-child period. The oil-based fragrance can be used in the bath or used as a dab-on for women and men alike, as its rich, warm mossy basenotes soon come to the fore, maturing into the true and long-lasting classic that it is. Highly recommended.
An excerpt of a review from Fragrantica:
This is an OMG fragrance, one that grabs me quickly. It really is special. When the plastic plug came out, so did the most beautiful scent, it is very aptly named. It has a bit of that lovely resin quality like Youth Dew and Interlude, some woods, lovely herbs and patchouli. Had I discovered this in my youth, I would have worn it non-stop!
Herbessence was discontinued in 1974.
We are decanting from an unopened bottle of the original eau de parfum version of the fragrance.
