Fur evokes the feeling of warmth, softness and even a hint of animal magnetism. It's not a literal note derived from animal fur, but rather a combination of scent notes that mimic the feeling of fur. These often include musks, woods, and sometimes a hint of amber or even a touch of gourmand. It falls under the Musk, Amber, Animalic Smells Group according to Fragrantica.

- Arcana Wildcraft Wolfling EDP - Wolfling is a softly musky, almondy, "your skin but better" scent with vanilla. - Dawn Spencer Hurwitz (DSH) Foxy Voile de Parfum - A smart, sexy, and playful retro-nouveau animalic fragrance that features the fur accord paired with a spiced/boozy beginning, and a rich, ambery drydown. You will definitely feel FOXY in this! A unisex, animalic fragrance with many inspirations. First, is to portray and speak to another “classical” animal note, this time ambergris/amber, which I felt evoked the color of the red fox perfectly, and to create a slightly more rough and feral fur accord than I had in the past few animalic releases. The second source came from watching Wes Anderson’s portrayal of Roald Dahl’s “Fantastic Mr. Fox”. - Solstice Scents Tether EDP - Tether opens with an intense shower of sparks and molten metal accompanying a fur accord and a rich brown animalic musk featuring castoreum and ambergris (vegan). - Solstice Scents Wardrobe EDP - Wardrobe is a very creamy and smooth sandalwood-forward fragrance. It also contains warm notes of cedar, cypress and hinoki woods paired with fantasy fabric accords of cashmere, fur and velvet. A hint of dry woody-spice adds further warmth. Upon initial application, the cedar and cypress are bold and woody. These top notes segue into a softer wood blend with the sandalwood emerging more strongly as the heart and base phases progress. This is a very cozy and smooth woods blend, not to be missed by lovers of sandalwood or blonde woods. The cashmere, fur and velvet offer the impression of clean winter-wardrobe staples but do not smell like fresh laundry or laundry detergent.
