Tether is created by Angela St. John and opens with an intense shower of sparks and molten metal accompanying a fur accord and a rich brown animalic musk featuring castoreum and ambergris (vegan). A supple worn brown leather and deep red embers are woven with the musk and fur accords to create a smooth, warm and slightly smoky fragrance. Tether features notes of molten metal, sparks, animalic musk, fur and brown leather. It is an eau de parfum, edp.

Reddit: When wet, I get a metallic tang, but it’s pretty faint - I don’t know if I’d pick it up if I didn’t know what to look for. The fur note is pretty similar - there’s a soft warmth that evokes fur for me, but if I was sniffing a stranger (as you do), I wouldn’t identify the note. As this dries down, the leather blends well with the other notes; it’s not overwhelming which I like. Tether is dry, warm, woody - almost sweetly dusty - and pleasant, but it doesn’t wow me. All this said, they’re both still lovely, well-blended perfumes. I was just hoping for something a little more atmospheric. I do think they’ll benefit from more resting (Gibbon’s Boarding School completely transformed after a few months in my closet), so I’m not giving up quite just yet.
