Description

When you enter the circus, you are surrounded by the scents of hay for the elephants, fresh popcorn, peanuts - it's a strangely distinctive scent. It involves the caramel smell of sugar burning on the cotton candy machines and the faint reek of animal manure, wood shavings and hot peanuts, old dust shaken out of faded tents, and the greasepaint and the popcorn. Discover the world of nostalgia and wonder.

You will receive a 1/2ml sample (1ml sample vial filled half full) of each of the fragrances in this sampler:
  1. Calyx Marionette Perfume Oil - Marionette is the sweet smell of the midnight circus puppet show. Enjoy the delicate cotton candy melting at the touch of your lips as you watch Sempronia the Fairly flit about the wooden stage. Her silent wings stir the sweet air and her silken dress rustles as she flies, closer to escape each night. A sweet, warm and powdery fragrance with notes of aged silk, cotton candy, light musk and vanilla.
  2. Cirque Sensorium Charred and Drizzled Kettle Corn EDP - If you ever catch the scent of Charred and Drizzled Kettle Corn on a windless night, don’t follow it. Unless, of course, you want to see what the tent shows after midnight. It opens with kettle corn sweet, golden and slightly scorched. Next comes ribbons of salted caramel and melted chocolate that snake through the air like acrobats in mid-flip. Beneath the sugar and popcorn, the scent deepens. Patchouli wafts up from the ring floor, rich and damp, like soil where tent poles once stood. The final bow is musk, soft and intimate, trailing behind like the ringmaster’s whisper when the lights go out.
  3. Cirque Sensorium Foggy Summer Night at the Circus EDP – it starts off with creamy vanilla, soft and warm. Fog and dewy fern curl through the air, cool and damp. There is moss underfoot, soft as velvet, and patchouli rising from it like breath from the earth. The air crackles with peppercorn and sage, while musk lays low, like the hush that falls just before the curtain drops.
  4. Deep Midnight Perfumes Midnight on the Midway Perfume Oil - The circus gates have closed but you are still inside the magic of the night. Tantalizing smells of a welcoming bonfire and warm mini donuts fill the air, along with a faint and familiar perfume that draws you in deeper towards the midway, towards the tents in the very back of the fairgrounds where who knows what magical world will await you. Windswept leaves help you float along as though your feet already know the way. It's midnight now and the real performances will begin. Main notes in this perfume that will take you away to a magical circus midway at midnight are: sugared donuts, charred wood, brown sugar, dark amber, cinnamon and fall leaves. This perfume oil is unisex tending slightly towards the feminine side of the scale with delicious gourmand notes that are slightly spicy and smoky.
  5. Deep Midnight Perfumes Waxwork Witches Perfume Oil - The last tent in the far edge of the circus grounds houses an old waxwork display. Creatures and monsters galore abide, but who has created these frightening spectres? Three sisters roam the ghostly dirt floor tent, weaving their magic and making wax come alive. Dirty and dusty curtains part to reveal secrets you may not want to know! Don't let these "ladies" catch you or you might be frozen in time. The main notes in this decidedly creepy faded Halloween scent are: dark oak, dead leaves, dusty curtain, rotting grapes, wet stone and black licorice, with fainter notes of pumpkin, apples and wax.
  6. Demeter Popcorn Cologne - Authentic buttery, popcorn scent that will take you back to times like baseball games, carnivals and dates.
  7. Eldritch Whispers I Do Not Know You Perfume Oil - The smell of popcorn, funnel cake and cotton candy fill the air as you approach the big top circus. For some reason, you just can't shake off the feeling that something is wrong.
  8. Fabled Fragrances Le Cirque EDP - A sugary sweet fragrance inspired by the circus. With notes of cotton candy (synthetic), red apple (natural), caramel (synthetic), green apple (natural), sea salt/butter (synthetic), amber (natural), vanilla bourbon (natural) and sugar (synthetic).
  9. Ghoulish Goods Midnight Circus Perfume Oil - Midnight Circus is a dark yet lively experience of caramel popcorn, fire, lacquer floorboards and whimsy. This scent was a collab with The Grim Theatre (Harlequin Grim and Achillea Grim) where they provided their expertise and experience from their very own dark circus performances. With their guidance, Ghoulish Goods has been able to bottle the circus experience not only from the perspective of the audience, but the performers as well. It is a beautiful balance of realism and whimsy. The sweet, buttery aroma of the caramel popcorn and concessions dance joyously between the deeper notes of fire, wood and smoke through the entire drydown. It is warm, sweet, woody and subtly spicy. With top notes of hickory, honey, incense and cinnamon; middle notes of smoke, amyris, caramel, salt, praline and spice; and base notes of cedarwood, moss, oud, olibanum, amber, musk, leather, popcorn, butter and vanilla.
  10. Haus of Gloi Cotton Candy & Caramel Corn EDP - A sugary sweet yet irresistible combination of caramel popcorn and spun sugar.
  11. Hyde & Hollow Sugartrap Perfume Oil - The circus drifts in on a hush of citrus and candy: orange zest and berries softened in warm caramel, the air powdered like old velvet. Lanterns sway above laughing crowds. Music hums low and sweet. They welcome you with soft hands and softer smiles, as if they’ve known you forever. And maybe they have. You breathe it in, this sugar-spun paradise. Light as air. Almost real. Everything begins to glow, the laughter, the velvet air, the glint of sugar in your hands. You smile without meaning to, soaked in warmth, in sweetness, in song, until the stillness beneath it all begins to hum. You realize the trap was never cruel…only sweet enough to keep you. It is a fruity, citrus gourmand with notes of orange, berry, bergamot, cotton candy, caramel and powder.
  12. LizabeCo Cirque du Noir Parfum – It starts off with the fragrances of just cooked funnel cake and freshly popped kettle corn. These gourmand first notes settle quickly into rain, fresh dirt, roses crushed underfoot and wet pavement. This finally yields to a spicy, warm, leathery finish that lasts for hours. That's the magic of the Cirque du Noir.
  13. MiN New York Magic Circus EDP - At the turn of the century, a carnival travels at dusk. With top notes of bergamot, pink peppercorn, pineapple and cotton candy; middle notes of cistus, labdanum, nuts and geranium; and base notes of patchouli, caramel and wood chips.
  14. Pixie Spell Essentials Circus of the Sun Perfume Oil – An atmospheric scent with notes of cotton candy, crisp red apple, bergamot, buttery popcorn, soft freesia, iris petals, creamy caramel, vanilla bean, golden amber and sandalwood.
  15. Possets The Bastard Child of the Circus Peanut Perfume Oil - That curious creature, a hybrid of strange pairings and totally unnatural: the circus peanut. Admit it, you love them. You don’t have to tell anyone about your passion for them, just enjoy. Smells like a circus peanut but like you have never ever smelled a circus peanut. Yumm-o!
  16. Redwood Alchemy Klown Musk Parfum - A gourmand musk with notes of cotton candy and musk. It is a mischievously playful, yet unsettlingly seductive fragrance inspired by the eerie allure of horror’s most iconic clowns. With just two hauntingly simple notes - cotton candy and musk - this scent captures the surreal, sugary sweetness of a carnival treat, underpinned by a shadowy, enigmatic musk that lingers like a smile in the dark. Klown Musk evokes nostalgia and terror in equal measure, making it the perfect addition to your Halloween collection or a daring choice for those who relish the unexpected. Wear it if you dare - just beware of the klown lurking in the scent.
  17. Sixteen92 Losers Club Perfume Oil - Inspired by Stephen King's novel It. A conceptual atmospheric fragrance with gourmand nuances featuring notes of rain-drenched iron, distant circus lights, candy floss and a red balloon.
  18. Sixteen92 Shadow Show Parfum – Inspired by Ray Bradbury's fascinating "Something Wicked This Way Comes" and Cooger & Dark's Pandemonium Shadow Show. By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes. It is a gourmand, fruity, smoky, metallic, dark fragrance that features notes of kettle corn, spun sugar, apple, machine oil, rusty metal and dirt.
  19. The Little Book Eater The Night Circus Perfume Oil - Welcome, Rêveurs! With the mouthwatering scents of salted caramel and popcorn and delicious notes of vanilla, buttery rum, and sugar, you will be filled with the delight and wonderment of being in the middle of a magical and mysterious night circus.
  20. Wylde Ivy October Circus Perfume - Popcorn and candied apples, falling leaves on the damp autumn air, antique wood and painted fabric banners, a touch of smoke and danger. You can feel a change in the air when the circus comes to town. Like magic it appears, the colors, the lights, the music and the smells. It calls to the towns like a siren. No one is immune from the enticement of a traveling circus. You awake one brisk October morning and can just tell that something feels different, there is something in the air. There is an excitement in town. As the calliope music starts to play the scent of popcorn and candy applies drifts in the cool October air. The music trills and the tent flaps begin to slowly close. There is laughing all around you, colors and sparks, too many colors and noises. Your head starts to spin. Too late you start to realize that there is something just a little different about this circus.
