According to Fragrantica, Watermelon is part of group Fruits, Vegetables and Nuts and its order profile is an extremely fresh note related to Calone or similar in profile synthetic molecules. Most fragrances in perfume use watermelon as an aquatic. The watermelon adds an illusion of water to the fragrance kind of like sliced cucumber or a generic melon scent. It is an aromachemical called Calone1951 which is also known as watermelon ketone. It is aquatic, sheer, fresh and a little bit fruity. But it does seem that the indie perfumers are starting to use watermelon as an actual note in perfumes now.
You will receive a 1/2ml sample (1ml sample vial filled half full) of each of the fragrances in this sampler.
- Andromeda’s Curse Vega, Deneb & Altair Perfume Oil - Also known as the "Summer Triangle" these are the famous group of stars that appear in the sky above the northern hemisphere in early Summer and trace their way across the sky as the season ebbs into Autumn. This scent is composed of the best things of Summer - fragrant orange blossoms, honeyed peaches and sticky watermelon slices.

- Mochiglow Watermelon Soju EDP - Soju is a popular spirit from South Korea, traditionally brewed from rice. Its taste is similar to vodka, but fruit flavors can be added for an extra sparkle. For centuries, it's been the go-to drink for celebrations, toasts and everything in between. This perfume is inspired by Subak Soju, a cocktail of soju, fruit and soda served in a half watermelon. An effervescent scent that captures the fun times behind each sip. With top notes of sparkling citrus; middle notes of juicy watermelon and zesty soju; and a base note of agave nectar.
- SNIF Swede Tooth EDP - An ode to the gummy - the juicy, perfectly soft and sugary treat. Take a ride on a Dala Horse through the candy aisle of your dreams and smell something scandalously sweet. With notes of watermelon, raspberry, candy sugar, violet, cedarwood and musk.
- Stone and Wit Why Would You Make This Perfume Oil – From the perfumer – “I don’t remember how I came across this hilariously awful review of making smoked watermelon in The Guardian, but that night I dreamt of making a smoked watermelon perfume. I immediately wrote down the idea and ingredients and promptly forgot about it. What a terrible idea. What a stupid, awful, bad, terrible, terribad idea. Until I decided to start composing it. A fruity, sweet-umami gourmand? Maybe this isn’t so bad. There definitely aren’t many savory gourmands... Yeah, I like how this worked out. For the next two days, the watermelon sits in the fridge in a bath of brine. When people come over I bring it out like an underwhelming Victorian curio. Here it is. It’s the watermelon I have carved to look like a ham. What have I been up to? Not much, but I did carve a watermelon into a ham." It is a savory, smoky, salty, fruity fragrance with notes of watermelon, lime, bergamot, paprika, raisins, apples and Sezchuan pepper.
