Description

This sampler will take you on an armchair visit through Scotland. Scotland is part of the United Kingdom and covers the northern third of the island of Great Britain. Mainland Scotland has a 96-mile border with England to the southeast and is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean to the north and west, the North Sea to the northeast and the Irish Sea to the south. Scotland also contains more than 790 islands divided into four main groups: Shetland, Orkney, and the Inner Hebrides and Outer Hebrides. From the Highlands to the islands, there are distilleries across Scotland that produce the world's finest whisky which is featured in this sampler. Other featured notes are heather, peat, Scots pine, petrichor, bog myrtle, gorse, tweed and salty sea air.

You will receive a 1/2ml sample (1ml sample vial filled half full) of each of the fragrances in this sampler:
  1. Akro Malt EDP - Malt is an addictive whisky fragrance with notes of whiskey, rum, leather, seaweed and patchouli. This scent is a cross between a peaty Laphroaig whisky and an aquatic. It opens with a gorgeously caramelized whisky note that conjures up both the smokiness and the toffee-like depth of an aged whiskey from Scotland. Wearing Malt feels like drinking a glass of peaty Scotch with friends at a beach bonfire on a cold October evening.
  2. Deep Midnight Perfumes Highland Mists Perfume Oil - Inspired by Scotland and the Outlander Series. Scotland is one of my favorite places to travel to, and I would actually love to move and live there one day. My first 21 day trip there was inspired after reading the first five books in the Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon (who is one of the nicest authors I have ever met, and has answered many of my fan mail emails so kindly!) There is nothing quite like the feel of the air and atmosphere in Scotland when you are outside the cities. The misty fog, the islands, the shores, the glens, and even the rain hold a mystery that can blanket the body and make you feel like you are between the worlds. All the castles, moors, standing stones, and battlefields I visited there held a solemnity that I will never forget. It is one of the places of my deepest longings. This perfume, about one year in the making, is comprised of main notes of: Oakmoss, smoked peat, heather, woods, ozone, amber and background notes of musk and cedar. It is unisex tending slightly towards the feminine. Earthy, and slightly sharp, it warms down to the smoky peat finish with a hint of florals and woods.
  3. Freyja's Daughters Highland Magic Perfume Oil Loaded with notes of sweet Scotch whisky, brown sugar, and butterscotch. It's everything you'd imagine the warmth of a cozy Kitchen Witch's cottage in the Scottish Highlands to be.
  4. Freyja's Daughters Machrie Moor Perfume Oil On the Isle of Arran in Scotland, located by the old Moss Farm, is Machrie Moor. Machrie Moor is an ancient ceremonial site consisting of 6 stone circles, cairns, burial mounds and remains, stretching out over the moors. The stone circles are each in varying conditions. Some standing tall, others buried in Peat. Some of these have been found to be erected on top of timber posts, which may have been the original circles. These timber structures have shown this site has been used for spiritual practices for 4500 years, though the excavation of this area has not been extensive and likely much more is to be found. Machrie Moor scent has note of moss, vetiver, bergamot and sea salt. This scent is citrusy from the bergamot and a heavy wet green from the moss and vetiver.
  5. HazelFern Scents Scotland by the Sea Perfume Oil - The scent of the salty coastal seas of Scotland are punctuated with mossy notes and a smoky aura. The inviting aroma of salty sea air, sweet heathered mists and dew painted seaside hills.
  6. Hex Mundi Summerisle Parfum - Welcome to Summerisle. The pleasant aroma of honey and the salty air of a Scottish island, culminating in the grand celebration, the burning of the Wicker Man.
  7. Jo Malone Melancholy Thistle Cologne - Bold and bright Melancholy Thistle guard a long-abandoned castle in the Scottish Highlands. Entwined with a green freshness, this woody aromatic scent is underpinned by Coolwood to summon the ivy-covered stone walls inside a majestic relic. With a top note of thistle, a middle note of English ivy and a base note of Coolwood.
  8. Jorum Studio Spiritcask Extrait de Parfum – Held in the customs house, the wistful spiritmaker plunges their head into the last empty barrel, where cooper-fired sweet nothings whisper and swirl. Place reference: Queen's Dock, Glasgow. With top notes of whisky, pear, cognac, chamomile and rum; middle notes of malt, jasmine and ylang-ylang; and base notes of vanilla absolute, whisky, maple, oak, cedar, cacao, guaiacwood, coffee, labdanum, lactones and leather.
  9. Memo Paris Inverness EDP - Inverness is a woody fragrance that launched in 2023. Its very name is intriguing and languorous. It is a land of peat, heather and golden rain, beyond the senses, aptly known as the capital of the Highlands, the largest region in Scotland. Nature reigns free, unspoiled, extraordinary, and the River Ness forges its curves and mysteries. The odors of different varieties of wood rising up from this endless green and bracing empire, each more captivating and fragrant than the last. It leads to deep forests, bare moors, wooded valleys, mossy reliefs, waterfalls, meadows, castles, ruins or other manors. And to a lake where the unknown ripples. It calls for painting. Discovery. It welcomes stone tones between brown and silver, cloudy skies with a singular glow, intense greens or fiery colours depending on the time of year. Smoky woods keep it company. It is called Inverness, and this Scottish town at the mouth of the River Ness knows all that nature can, knows all that it owes her. A form of beauty that comes from the water, from its ample movement, a history in tune with the elements. Time flows here, dense and discreet like amyris wood. It fills the space, and with it, sandalwood, cedar, guaiac, a touch of mate absolute, and a powdery orris butter accentuate its luminous and enveloping presence. A striking, pervasive trail, as if carried by the riverbed on its way to Loch Ness and its silent legend. A fragrance guided by a deep and subtle woody conviction, which keeps its mystery intact, to which we return, as if magnetized. With top notes of iris butter and mate absolute; middle notes of sandalwood and amyris; and base notes of cedarwood and guaiacwood.
  10. Naughty Button Scottish Thistle EDP - Scottish herbs and forest foliage dance with notes of fresh apple, lavender, white spruce and wild rose. With top notes of green apple, geranium and clove; middle notes of lavender, spruce, white pine and rose; and base notes of Siberian fir needle and cedarwood.
  11. Parfums de Marly Galloway EDP - Bred to adapt to the harsh climate and rocky mountains of 18th century Scotland, the Galloway stallion was a particularly stalwart breed, versatile, rugged and determined. For the gentleman who wants to display his own versatility and determination, Galloway makes a powerful, yet easygoing, statement. It starts with a gorgeous spicy-fresh hesperide blend made from the peels of juicy citrus fruits, equal parts invigorating and fiercely masculine. A heart of earthy iris keeps us grounded in the crags and glens of Scotland, while a drydown of sexy musk and amber gives backbone and longevity. Like the horse that bears its name, Galloway will always get the job done, no matter the terrain.
  12. Perfumer H Rainwood EDP - A fragrance of effortless beauty, redolent of damp wood after the rain. Inspired by Lyn’s childhood memories in the vast Scottish Highlands, it features top notes of galbanum and elemi fused with clean notes of pepper and myrrh resting on a wet, woody base of juniper and cedar wood with patchouli leaves. With additional notes of water lily, angelica grain and frankincense.
  13. Potion Street Perfumes Hunter in the Highlands Perfume OilA poetic and masculine blend, this fragrance is a symphony of spicy-sweet notes, the tangy zest of lemon and French verbena, the verdant lushness of violet leaves and green Florentine iris, elevated by the loftiness of ambergris and Mysore sandalwood. 14. Siren Songs Elixirs Kelpie Perfume Oil - The kelpie is a shape-shifting water spirit inhabiting the lochs and pools of Scotland. It is described as a demon in the shape of a black horse. A kelpie is a mercurial creature that is both alluring and haunting. They roam the murky lochs, rising from the depths of the water to lure small children to their death, emerging from the moors and transforming into handsome strangers that seduce young maidens and luring victims into the dark depths of rivers only to devour them. With key notes of black sea salt, kelp, mist, murky loch water. water lily, ferns, moss, damp earth and tonka bean.
  15. Smells Like Books Sassenach Perfume - This scentbrings to mind the Highlands of Scotlands and is based on the Highlander series. It features top notes of petitgrain and heather; middle notes of cypress, pine and juniper; and base notes of oakmoss and smoke.
  16. Strangers Parfumers Scotch Peat EDP Scotch Peat is a dark, cozy fragrance inspired by Lomros's travels around the Highlands and his visits to local whiskey distilleries. It is an earthy fragrance with the aromas of warm damp earth, curing fermenting hay and peaty booziness around the edges. It features top notes of artemisia, candied and dried fruits, lavender absolute, malted barley, peat and wormwood; middle notes of cade, cypress absolute, honey, labdanum, leather, milk chocolate, orris, smoke, spruce and whiskey; and base notes of Atlas cedarwood, old oak barrel, Clearwood™, hay absolute, moss and tonka beans.
  17. Sucreabeille Nessie The Puddle Serpent EDP - Nessie tries to stay undercover because she's not a huge fan of tourists. She stayed above the surface for half a second too long in 1934, and she hasn't been able to live it down. She hadn't gotten news of cameras yet, and boy did the tourists start rolling in after that! It does get a little lonely down there sometimes though, so she occasionally pops her head up for a split second to startle people and then she rushes back down out of sight, chuckling all the way. Her other hobbies include singing to the moon on clear nights and spying on little Scottish boats by just barely sticking her eyeball out of the water. With notes of green musk, sea salt, vanilla, sweet lemon zest, water, kelp, tonka, sea moss, dirt and yuzu.
  18. The Zoo Scent Tattoo EDP - Created by Christophe Laudamiel in 2016, it is a leather, woody, sexy plush fragrance inspired by the military tattoo held each year at the Edinburgh Castle. Scent Soft leather and so called masculine woods join forces to recreate the compelling atmosphere of a military performance. Sexy musks with the fibery note of African cedar from the Atlas region recreate the feeling of gorgeous tartan fabric. Molecular Sandalwood and spiciness from lilies accentuate sensuality. Mimosa, a fluffy flower whose extract smells naturally of leather, blends the different elements together. A touch of bright watery notes found in blackcurrant and grapefruit lighten up the top of the fragrance like a mini dance on a strong flowing sensual background. With notes of blackcurrant, grapefruit, lilies, styrax, leather, mimosa, musks, Atlas cedarwood and sandalwood.
  19. Vanitas Veritas The Scottish Perfume MacBeth Perfume Oil - This perfume oil inspired by Shakespeare’s ‘Macbeth’, evokes the scent of damp stone castles, barrels of aging whiskey, a hint of not yet dried blood, orange and bergamot garlands hung in dark halls, and notes of bonfire and torch flame. Find yourself walking the frigid moors of the Scottish highlands, haunted by your past, with the eerie unsettling wind swirling around you. This fragrance will make you wonder whether witches are gathering just around the next rocky outcrop as you pull your cloak tighter around your shoulders. It features notes of pine, cedarwood, bergamot, orange, vetiver, juniper berry, neroli, whiskey, rose oxide, hinoki, suede, peppermint, oakmoss, tobacco, oud, birchwood and campfire.
