Description

Spacewood is from The ZOO, a line of fragrances created by the incredible Christophe Laudamiel.  "In my opinion he is the greatest inventor of novel perfume structures working today." - Luca Turin, 2016.  Spacewood was created by Christophe Laudamiel and C. Hornetz and released in 2016.  From the website: “This world was too small for him and so he flew to space, where he found some out-of-this-world love." Described by Christophe as fresh icy dewy paradise, this fragrance is a scent trampoline into the future. A scent can be abstract helping you think into the future. It shows that besides man-made molecules, some natural extracts can be used for that purpose and all naturals do not smell natural. The neon-green and yellow sensations in Spacewood are created due to notes found in Egyptian mimosa, white wine and acacia flower and are combined with other molecules, star anise and acacia flower. Spacewood was part of Now Smell This Top Summer Fragrances of 2018 - [The Zoo fragrances]..... mostly these scents are just radiant, unapologetically synthetic and focused on fun. Spacewood is a candy-colored fresh floral with seltzer gas shot through it. Spacewood is an eau de parfum, edp.

Review of The Zoo Spacewood

From CaFleureBon: There’s something of the bad boy in this scent, yet at the same time Spacewood with its calming and out-of-body synthetics, is an exercise in scenting deep space. This smells like sex with Ziggy Stardust or The Man Who Fell to Earth in an airlock miles above the  planet. Opening with a whiff of acacia, mimosa, and the boozy acidic tang of white wine, the notes are quickly surrounded by something reminiscent and redolent of overheating ozonic electrical wires and smoldering plastics or acrylics. I can't exactly place my finger on it, and I can't stop sniffing my wrist it's that compelling. It is also deeply meditative and interstellar. And indescribably wonderful.
