Thierry Mugler Womanity was launched in 2010 and was created at Mane Flavor and Fragrance by Alexis Dadier and Ralf Schwieger. It is a composition with notes of fig, caviar and fig wood and is a powerful contrast of elements. By using the new molecular process of extraction, Mane manages to extract natural aromas for fig for the sweet accords and savory notes from caviar.
Womanity is a trailblazing composition that incorporates, for the first time in perfume, a salted sweet note. Fig provides the natural sweetness of sun-ripened fruit, while caviar offers a subtle salty flavor. It is an eau de parfum, edp.
Fragrantica - "A refreshing dip in the ocean at the end of a sweaty summer day. The salt of your skin and the salt of the sea mix as your skin dries in the setting sun. The figs are definitely there, but it's not so much the fruit, it's more the warmth radiating from a sun-bathed fig tree. Warm wood, warm rocks, warm earth."
Fragrantica - "At first spray I was doubtful.... fig and then more fig. But then! Marine notes, unique twist which must be caviar started emerging. Woody, sweet, savoury. Absolutely fantastic! It smells to me the way popping candies feel in the mouth. A very nonsense description I know. But it just has this - never ever before found in a perfume - freshness without being a typical freshie. Oh so unique oh so beautiful."
Fragrantica - "This does not in the slightest smell like the tacky calone aquatics of the 90s at all. What Womanity reminds me of most is a salty/aquatic Amber like Alkemia’s Ghost Fire but with a fruity vibe from the fig. Womanity is sweet, salty, fruity, a bit green and has an amazing presence. Signature worthy, complex and unique."
