Tom Ford Beau de Jour was created by Antoine Maisondieu and released in 2020 as part of the signature line. A classic aromatic fougere with notes of lavender, rosemary, oakmoss, mint, basil, geranium, patchouli and amber. Tom Ford Beau de Jour is an edp, Eau de Parfum. From the brand - "Beau de Jour is a new masculine fragrance from the Private Blend line that represents a perfectly groomed gentleman. Described as classic, sharp and maverick, Beau de Jour combines classic aromatic fougere accords such as lavender, moss and amber."
Fragrantica - "If we could resurrect the Greek gods and have them create a fragrance for a gentleman in his suit and tie in the 21st century, it would resemble this."
Fragrantica - "This frag is a beast! I won't go into the composition analysis, because, who cares!, but i will say that it's made oh-so-well and performes magnificently and consistently throughout it's life on your skin. It can outlast and outperform any other frag in my possession - a spray or two will easily get you through the day. If sprayed more than that it can cause headache/nausea because of its concentration and strength. A great buy if you ask me - even though it costs more than your average mainstream rank water, you definitely get a loooot bang for your buck."
Fragrantica - "This is really, really good. A truly timeless fragrance for those who love the fougere genre. It has an incredible lavender opening that stays for a long time. The lavender is joined by spicy, minty notes for a very sophisticated middle. The ending, though, is spectacular. Still some minty lavender, joined by the amber and patchouli. Classic and brilliant. It leans formal and traditional. This feels mature to me. It makes me feel more confident. A compliment generator for sure, but from those “of a certain age.” Three sprays (one at the base of my throat and two on my chest) last through a workday with no problem. This is a top-three in my office rotation and works all seasons in a climate-controlled environment."
