Description

Tom Ford Bitter Peach was released in fall  2020 as part of the Private Blend line of fragrances. From the manufacturer's description "Intoxicating Peche de Vigne and Sicilian Blood Orange Oil release the slick sweetness of Bitter Peach at its luscious peak. A sensual heart is revealed through rum-infused Davana Oil, while a surge of Patchouli lures senses to the furthest reaches of inner sensuality and abandon."

I get peaches soaked in rum. If you don't like peaches in perfume, you are going to seriously hate this. The davana makes it interesting and keeps it away from being just a pretty linear peach shampoo scent. The drydown is peachy resinous vanilla -- a much more moderated peach by then.

Tom Ford Bitter Peach has notes of peche de vigne, (peach) blood orange, davana, rum, cognac, patchouli, sandalwood, labdanum, vanilla.

Reviews of Tom Ford Bitter Peach

From Colognoisseur - "To keep it under control cardamom and davana provide some contrast pulling it back from becoming utilitarian. There is a tiny hint of rum; not enough to make it boozy. Just a pinch to add some richness to the peach. Jasmine then flows into it creating a fleeting fruity floral intermezzo. Cashmeran adds a synthetic link between a dark patchouli and resinous benzoin. This inserts itself into the peach adding shadows to the fruitiness."

From Fragrantica - "While the peach scent is very strong and almost realistic and very sweet, it is not a juvenile sweet...Bitter Peach warms up, softens and woody and balsamic notes take the wheel."

From Man for Himself - "The drydown is something quite different. It still has a lingering sweetness but it’s much darker and has a caramelised quality to it – much like the top of a creme brûlée.  There’s also a woody, resinous tone which gives it a much-needed warmth."

From Sephora - "This is completely unexpected, masterfully crafted, to have the perfect balance. It’s sweet, it’s addictive, it’s dirty, it’s TOM FORD at its finest! If you like sweet with an edge this is for you, if you like to smell unique! This is for you!"

    Solid peach

Not a flimsy scent. A straight shooting scent. Nothing synthetic about it.

    So unique

First whiff is absolutely stunning. It's a boozy, candied peach, that has a bit of an animalistic or beeswax note mixed in. After a few minutes, the animalistic note fades, and there a peachy clean vanilla/chocolate scent. Really yummy scent journey!
