Tom Ford Costa Azzurra was launched in 2021 as part of the signature line with notes of driftwood, seaweed, agarwood, cardamom, celery seeds, ambrette, lemon, cypress, mandarin, lavender, myrtle, artemisia, incense, vetiver, oak, olibanum, mastic, lentisque and vanilla.
Fragrantica - "This is one of the few colognes I've worn that smells like a place or an experience, rather than a combination or series of identifiable scents. I'm not sure why that is, but it's just excellent. For me, it evokes the sea breezes of the mid-Atlantic coast."
Fragrantica - "The combination of woody accords and citrus freshness kicks off slightly bitter and sharp only to gradually evolve into a warmer scent which never loses the fresh juiciness present at the beginning as well – quite the opposite, it gets richer. There's a slightly sweet floral quality to the aura of Costa Azzurra and further in the drydown some smokiness comes along before settling into a chypre-like base on skin. On clothes it is reminiscent of a fine fabric softener, yet compared to what one would imagine under this label doesn't get boring at all. It is bright and clean-smelling, simple from afar yet complex and rich up close."
Fragrantica - "Amazing fragrance. Smells like a medditerreanian beach/coast. I don't know how to better describe it, it's one of my summer-staples. I use it during the day, when the sun is shining, I think it fits perfectly in that regard. Leans masculine for me, nice and fresh. You can smell the ocean, driftwood, seaweed, a little tiny touch of oud, and minerals. It's a little bit of a "out-of-the-shower-smell", but with a great depth and many nuances. It's just an amazing fragrance smell-wise so to speak."
