Tom Ford Vanilla Sex was released in late 2023 as part of the Private Blend line of fragrances. A load of not overly sweet vanilla that takes this out of the strictly vanilla gourmandy range. It seems to be a wee bit polarizing already sinceits release. Notes of vanilla CO2 extract, vanilla tincture India, vanilla absolute, floral notes, bitter almond, sandalwood, tonka bean absolute and Ultravnil. It is an eau de parfum, edp.

Fragrantica - "Either you love it or you hate it. A very creamy and cozy fragrance. The opening is sweet almost like a birthday cake, while the dry down is more subtle and the almond notes start to come in. Definitely don’t overspray, it’s meant to be more of a skin scent in my opinion. I personally wouldnt pay Tom ford price’s for it but it is nice."
Fragrantica - "In spite of the polarized reviews, this is honestly a beautiful fragrance. This is a vanilla done in a non-traditional way. I love how it's creamy, fresh, floral, giving this fragrance a vanilla/cherry soda accord. The dry down is a bit animalic but not in a offensive way. This scent last 15 mins,before it develops into a beautiful, vanilla licorice sandalwood. The sillage is not beast mode. This is a medium proyection that is met to be a tease for the expectator who get near you."
Fragrantica - "It’s surprisingly unusual (imo) and one of the people in my life who does not usually like sweet fragrances told me he is shocked to like this and complimented it on me, asking to smell it over and over again.
He is not the only person in my life who has complimented it in the first two days of me having it that is not usually interested in this sort of fragrance, either. It’s not SUPER sweet, but it’s still SOFTLY sweet and very creamy and nutty. Predictably; it’s an amazing layering scent! One spray of lost cherry with 2 sprays of this smells like the most amazing warm cherry pie with fancy ice cream! I also tried it with Eben Fume and it made it a sweeter vanilla woodsy scent that I love! Really nice extra creaminess w Plum Japonais and Cafe Rose, too. I see limitless potential for layering like this and that versatility is exciting for me. It’s not a tough wear, or an intellectual fragrance (of course). It’s a simple one, but beautifully done and really delightful."
