Victoria's Secret Cherry Elixir No.33 Fragrance Mist Reviews

Fragrantica: "I crave this in perfume form. This is dark, alluring, deeply rich. Sooo caramel. This is the mist that has sent me on a hunt for a staple dark cherry perfume. I’d probably wear this to a masked ball. Quite possibly the best release from VS in a lonnnnng time. It bothers me that they will not continue to make this. If you want something affordable and you love gourmands but you don’t want to smell like typical candy, milk or tropical fruit, this is your ideal. Did not expect such decadence from VS. I hope it makes a come back. It lasts surprisingly long especially on clothing."

Fragrantica: "Sugared red cherry notes and amber-y black cherry notes smell like coffee on me and that's what I get from this one. The amber is slightly spicy and syrupy and renders the black cherry sugared-spicy, balsamic slightly boozy and smoky like black coffee with cherry syrup, with sugar and liqueur added to it. It radiates so much warmth as a scent. It's an amazing scent to me and I instantly fell for it when it came out and I still love it. The bonus with these body mists is that they last me for years without going bad dusty and stale in the bottle while perfumes tend to go bad quicker. To me this is close to Sugared Cherry Crisp which is much lighter and minus the baked vanilla-notes of that one. It's also close to Black Opium, like a cherry black opium without orange blossom and obnoxious notes. Smooth smoky balsamic boozy, not peppery and very comforting to me perfect for fall and winter. Not for everyone tho. It is heady by how balsamic and amber-y syrupy it is and it is dark with deep smoky spice which stays smooth, nothing patchouli peppery and annoying to me. It opens bolder smokier and becomes more aromatic gradually. Not sure why sugared or amber-y cherry notes translate to coffee to my nose and on my skin, but I'm here for it. BBW's Sugared Cherry Crisp's red cherry smells like coffee to me too; the cherry note there is very sugared syrupy by the spun sugar and slightly smoky as spun sugar tends to be so much that it translates to a coffee-cherry smell just like the black cherry here as influenced by the amber. Here the black cherry is less syrupy in comparison and this doesn't remind me of cherry pies. My first thought when I first smelled Sugared Cherry Crisp was that it smells like a coffee shop baking cherry pies haha. Sugared Cherry Crisp tho has the biscuit baked goods note so it's also like cherry pie on me and much lighter than this one due to the fact that it's a red cherry note, not a dark black cherry as in this one, and by the lack of amber there replaced by vanilla-spun sugar. I smell some of the Sugared Cherry Crisp's syrupy coffee-like cherry here too, but this is A LOT smokier and darker by the amber and more boozy too, so the coffee impression here is over the roof for me haha. I get it why people are smelling some of D&D The Only One which is a Black Opium coffee loaded cousin (even tho The Only One smells closer to Love by Sofia Vergara to me more than to Black Opium). I expected to see coffee scents in the reminds me of. This mist is like perfume and performs as such on me. I absolutely love it since I love cherry and black cherry and I've grown to like some coffee perfumes esp when they're boozy like the BBW Coffee and Whiskey. Much lighter berry version of these is Everlasting Magic which lacks any smoky effect and lacks the baked goods note of Sugared Cherry Crisp."
