MOST EXCITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Fruity Chypre, The Picnic Basket Chypre, or The Little Red Riding Hood of Chypres - I find by miles above all else, the most exciting fragrance subgenre ever to have been invented on this giving earth, and Nina Ricci Fille d'Eve to be the most enticing scent I’ve had the rare pleasure of inhaling since Guerlain’s iconic Mitsouko. I’d venture to say that Eve’s discontinuation is a serious crime against Perfume as Art, but then, given the suffocating restrictions that have transformed today’s smellscape, my mind is severely blown by the unique beauty of this vintage scent, so much so that I cannot and will not abide by these Draconian measures. Imagine the tree ripened juiciness of Rochas Femme, but hold it right there! Let’s stop for a moment to savor the goaty part of a goat milk product, minus the dairy association, and mind you the seductive interplay of fruity notes and animalic muskiness, most likely contributed to the Costus root, where in this case, the uncommon ingredient is treated with the most finesse I’ve experienced as a perfume lover. People, I am dreaming of owning this gem someday in its original wicker basket and box, but until I do, I’m planning on buying out as much as I can of it here. Oh, my word! :P
