Description

Xerjoff Louis XV 1722 was launched in 2024. It is a collaboration between Xerjoff and the House of Venoge - an important wine library in Champagne. Focused on Louis XV, who first gave the letters of nobility to the Champagne region, it has notes of grapefruit, plum, saffron, liquor, cocoa, coffee, lavender, rose, hazelnut, amber, white musk, cashmere wood, leather, sandalwood and incense. Xerjoff Louis XV 1722 is an eau de parfum, edp.

From the brand - "A synergy of tradition, passion and expertise collide resulting in a unique fusion of artistic exploration with the House de Venoge, one of the most important wine libraries in Champagne. Louis XV 1722 perfume is emblematic of a true celebration, a fresh and original composition which lifts the spirits and stirs the senses. The irresistible, woody blend opens with metallic notes, mirroring the sensation the champagne creations instil in the senses, slowly revealing warmer, seductive nuances on the skin as time goes by. The cultural exchange of ideas and experiences in the creation of a new perfume with the House de Venoge also sees a new drink creation so rare and unique, the grapes were specifically selected to perfectly blend with the Champagne’s dosage selected by Sergio Momo alongside the de Venoge Master Blender, with three exceptional creations; Blanc de Blancs, Blanc de Noirs and Rosé."

Xerjoff Louis XV 1722 Reviews

Fragrantica - "Oh my god.. I think I have never smelt something so "Gorgeous" in my entire fragrance journey...The booze in this is real and not an accord like all of the other fragrances with "Champagne" labeled note that is something between floral and citrus/fruity notes to make it smell like champagne. I tried it without knowing anything about it. I bought it after 15 minutes of initial spray (Really rare phenomenon for my "buying ritual".. I never do such thing but I'm glad I did.). When I saw the notes I was dumbfounded Coffee with champagne?? & also leather with fruits? Wait cacao and woody additions as well? this is dystopian to my mind that could actually work so well. The champagne note is really vibrant but quiet at the same time, It doesn't scream and it doesn't bother the wearer. The coffee note is almost a cappuccino like, but it hugs firmly the champagne note almost like it's guarding it. The grapefruit top note is there for it to be sparkly at the beginning, it could be annoying for some, but after 2/3 minutes from initial spray it fades away, the plum with the rose & lavender work so well together in this while saffron is there to balance the sweetness. Sandalwood Musk Cashmere & leather are the pillar of this fragrance, the foundations are made so well, too many peaks and valleys, through the whole experience you smell something rich. Truly a masterpiece in my opinion."

Fragrantica - "Super unique! I havent smelled anything this sparkling or champagne-like before. I have to admit that the opening for me was a little bit strange… « sèche « and not « fruité » as I would normally drink champagne or spumante. Xerjoff quality of course and has a very elegant air."

Fragrantica - "Although it has certain gourmand notes, it’s not, thankfully for me, a gourmand fragrance. I’d characterise this primarily as a warm spicy, musky fragrance with some powdery aspects juxtaposed with a sharper edge up top along with a subtle nuttiness. It’s the sharp aspect that I particularly like, giving it a slight freshness which dissipates over time to dry down to a comforting and creamy woody base with a touch of leather. It has a sweetness to it without being overly sweet. There’s a slight hint of coffee and the champagne is noticeable but I’d say no particular notes stand out. As it dries down it settles into a soft, powdery, woody scent that is a little more familiar. Overall, it’s beautifully blended to produce a classy and versatile fragrance that could be worn across all seasons and for a variety of situations although I find it more on the formal side. I think it’s a delightful fragrance of high quality that, to my nose, leans slightly masculine with great longevity and moderate/light projection. As usual, the Xerjoff presentation is beautiful. I just love everything about this fragrance."

Fragrantica - "This is a beautiful release from Xerjoff! I get a really nice and smooth leather with the sweetness and richness of the plum, some woody sandalwood that also gives it a slight creaminess and soft lavender. In the opening the grapefruit is present, but the drydown turns into a warm, woody, musky goodness. I'd say it leans masculine, but this will be really good on women as well."
