Xerjoff XJ 1861 Decas is an amber floral launched in 2021, created by Chris Maurice with notes of mandarin, tobacco, tuberose, benzoin, orris root, opoponax, resin, vanilla and musk. Xerjoff Decas is an eau de parfum, edp.
From the brand - "DECAS celebrates the 10 years since the release of the first perfume in Xerjoff 1861 collection, and evokes an inspiring mood with zesty notes of Calabrian mandarin. Intriguing and opulent, top notes of tuberose and tobacco lead the nose towards a heart of Italian orris and rich, ceremonial Benzoin, emulating the dignity and regal atmosphere of historic Italy. Smoky, soft opopanax warms at the heart of the fragrance whilst notes of musk, balsam and vanilla provide a grounding, evocative base."
Fragrantica - "The best of 1861 series after Naxos, Decas is very addictive scent, a lovely scent."
Fragrantica - "Truly a versatile one, I could see this working on anyone, anytime and anywhere, but maybe keep it minimal on ultra hot days and official settings as it could become too sweet on extreme heat and kind of playful (bcs of that slight bubblegum vibe) on formal scenes. Although I love it, I don't recommend blind-buying this. Even if you've smelled it, get a sample and live with it first. Charming, great longevity and luxurious-smelling. As usual from the house."
Fragrantica - "This is beautiful candied resins has the most beautiful sweet myrh aka opoponax resin I’ve every smelled in perfumery this is absolutely underrated performance amazing long lasting beautiful mysterious warm and resinous with a hint of creamy powdery the tobacco and tuberose add sophistication on a level that no other houses can compete I have a small vial of sweet opoponax and this has a crap tone of natural opoponax in it &&& that’s why I loves my xerjoff a masterpiece period doesn’t get any better."
Fragrantica - "It feels gourmandish even though it is not actually a gourmand fragrance (I think). I love it! Very subtle and versatile, but maybe more suitable for fall or cold weather."
