Jurassic Park is a chypre floral fragrance launched in 2026 and created by Killian Wells. From their website: Welcome to Jurassic Park... In 2015, Xyrena launched the world-famous Dark Ride fragrance by “bad boy perfumer” Killian Wells, inspired by water-ride staples like Jurassic Park River Adventure. Now, 10 years later, Xyrena has partnered with Universal Studios and Amblin Entertainment to unveil an exciting flanker built on that iconic DNA—reimagined in a highly wearable profile that transports you somewhere between Isla Nublar itself and the rides it inspired. We spared no expense in developing this historic–prehistoric entry in the Cinematic Scent Archive™. The official Jurassic Park fragrance opens with stormy petrichor, lush rainforest greenery, a burst of neroli, and juicy blackcurrant. The heart reveals West Indian lilac, wet soil, and oakmoss, while the base grounds the scent with brominated water and the resinous depth of fossilized amber. Experience a perfume 65 million years in the making—before it goes extinct. Jurassic Park is an extrait de parfum.
Xyrena is a compound of two terms - XY (the male and female chromosomes) and RENA (from the Latin word renascor which means "to be renewed or reborn). It also means “enchanter” in Old Greek. The company is certified 100% vegan and cruelty-free. They refer to themselves as olfactory rebels and welcome their customers to the "future of fragrance".
XYRENA JURASSIC PARK REVIEWS
Fragrantica: "I just received my bottle of Jurassic Park. First of all it is NOTHING like I was expecting but it is very evocative and fits the name well. It's a flanker to Dark Ride, which I have never smelled. It has a strong ozonic vibe off the rip. A major wet humid green accord with petchicor and soil. Like a wet greenhouse. The lilac and neroli keep it grounded as a wearable fragrance. Not strong or in your face but keeping it clean. There is a faint sour and sweet backbone to it from the black current. Tart but effervescent like cranberry ginger ale. The bromine water accord is where it gets kinda weird. in a way that I like but maybe polarizing to some. It has a strong REC CENTER WITH A POOL vibe that is very in your face. It's plasticy. Almost in the same way as Ghost in the Shell by ELDO. It really does remind me of being at a theme park. Epcot specifically. It's bright. Great for the summer and smells like no other fragrance I tried. I'm a petchicor fragrance truther and this tickles my fancy in a way most others don't. I'll have to report back about the longevity. EDIT: been wearing it about 6 hours. It drys down to an aquatic similar to Olm by Zoologist. A briny, wet cave, sea salt air kind of freshness. It didn't project a crazy amount but it's still there."
Fragrantica: "I'm gonna have to agree with Bananapeel's comment (the Epcot reference is actually spot on). It's a very ozonic, petrichor, humid green fragrance. It's a lovely fragrance BUUUUUUUUUUUUUT it's very much a intimate skin scent. I'm not saying I need beast mode but a little more projection and sillage would make it perfect. All in all a really good fragrance, I just want it a little stronger."
Xyrena: "I was really interested in the dark ride accord and I can say, this smells exactly like the damp, electronic, recycled water in a water ride that I'm so nostalgic for. Totally spot on and worth the blind buy."
Xyrena: "I work in agriculture and when I wear this to work I swear I can feel myself wandering the island of Isla Nublar as I move through the canopy of the plants I'm working on. I can't get enough of the complex aroma that keep me coming back for more and also manages to activate the memories of how the Jurassic Park ride smells like. 10/10"
