Yves Saint Laurent's Opium is an Oriental spicy fragrance that debuted in 1977. Created by Jean Amic and Jean-Louis Sieuzac, it features top notes of coriander, plum, citrus notes, mandarin orange, pepper, jasmine, clove, West Indian bay and bergamot; middle notes of carnation, sandalwood, patchouli, cinnamon, orris root, peach, lily-of-the-valley and rose; and base notes of labdanum, tolu blossom, sandalwood, opoponax, musk, coconut, vanilla, benzoin, vetiver, incense, cedar, myrrh, castoreum and amber.
