An excerpt From Zoologist
"Autumn winds skip across golden wheat fields. As the tall grasses billow, the rattle of husks beats a soft prairie lullaby, signalling to the weary sun to rest. In the fading light, tiny harvest mice venture forth, scrambling to gather seeds and fruits. For once the sun sinks fully beneath the horizon, its rule of the sky is bestowed on another. And when the coo of the owl breaks the night, the mice dash, trembling, back to their nests. Like a countryside bathed in sweet sunlight, Zoologist Harvest Mouse conjures images of home-baked goodness. Stalks of wheat sway among chamomile, davana and hay, and rich beer extracts are sobered by resins and woody notes. Cozy up in a warm nest of homespun scent."
Zoologist Harvest Mouse is an extrait de parfum, edp.
Fragrantica - "Starts out in an almost mild orange blossom "creme savers"-like way, for those who are familiar with that candy. (Not that it's that level of cloying sweet by any means, just that kind of scent profile already mixed in with a little wheat and incoming green.) When the hay/beer come in, I really like how bread-y it makes it. It retains some level of mild sweetness throughout, with the drydown being more of a sweetgrass/hay/slightly balsamic woods in a faded bakery for me. Nice"
Fragrantica - "I get the wheat fields, it's so comforting like baking bread with sweet vanilla vaguely floral notes floating on top. The listed green herbal notes are there too but mostly sublimated into the bakery vibe for me. I love this, the only thing I would change is a strong marshmallow sweetness lingers on strong in the dry down on my skin. If that was toned down while more beery wheat came forward it was be perfect, it's still a love for me."
Fragrantica - "Harvest Mouse is probably my favourite of Zoologist. It smells how my Saturdays growing up used to smell: like a horse stable. It makes me super nostalgic. An amazing blend of hay and chamomile. It is a skinscent, but oh so lovely."
Fragrantica -- "A lazy cold Sunday, you're in a warm tavern or a warm cottagecore kitchen, someone is there with you sipping a light ale, you're having a cup of tea, and you're sharing warm, fresh-baked bread. I could see this as my go-to fall scent."
Fragrantica - "This does smell like caramel yeasty brioche. Interesting I'd say."
