Burnt Cedar Rainbow Doves is inspired by composer, writer and talented British eccentric, Gerald Hugh Tyrwhitt-Wilson, 14th Baron Berners. It is an aroma of cedar bonfires, wild rose. mock orange, geranium, moss, musk, civet and sugared almonds. Elsa Schiaparelli encouraged Lord Berners to make a fragrance with civet, but Nancy Mitford talked him out of it. Here it is, with animal friendly synthetic civet. Originally only a limited edition of 20 bottles for London Craft Week 2019 using materials which were available in the 1930s. Burnt Cedar Rainbow Doves is an eau de parfum, edp.

Fragrantica: "It opens up unabashedly green, smoky and woody, but very quickly morphs into a delicate powdered sexual skin note, like something Marlou would sell. A soft gentle musk, powdered skin, with a very small hint of lust. The image this conjures for me is the tale of two illicit lovers sneaking away through the dark dank overgrowth at the edges of a garden estate, finding a quiet place in a hidden garden for your secret liaisons. All I can say is don't judge this by it's opening. This is a powdered gentle sweet scent of skin type fragrance through and through."
Reddit: "Not sure about wearability but putting it on made me happy."
