Annick Goutal Mandragore - A bewitching woody aromatic unisex fragrance made from the mandrake plant. With additional notes of bergamot, black pepper, spearmint, star anise oil, boxwood and ginger. Mandragore is an eau de toilette, edt, and was created by Isabelle Doyen.
Influenster - "Such an incredibly unique scent - woody, spicy, and, somehow, warm and fresh at the same time. One of my favorite scents ever and, best of all, it lasts all day, each note as lovely and interesting as the last. I've been buying this perfume since 2014 and I don't think I'll ever stop."
Now Smell This - "Mandragore starts out with dense bergamot and spice notes. The pepper, anise, and ginger are all distinct. After a few minutes, the mandrake (or what I assume to be the mandrake, having never smelled one before) arrives, along with a little tinge of mint. It smells green, and sort of vegetal, and there are definite herbal-woody undertones that are probably from the boxwood."
Fragrantica: "A dark, misterious fragrance, but still fresh enough for using during a hot summer. It takes me to Kings Arthur's story when his witch sister Morgana used Mandragore plant in a potion, every time I smell it. I think it is the black pepper that always make me think of the Middle Ages. I adore the originality of this fragrance, and believe that even people who don't like spicy notes would wear it, because of the mint and sage's freshness."
