Description

Cascadian Mermaid is the scent of a dank mermaid in the Pacific Northwest. It features notes of terpene concentrate accord, grapefruit, cotton candy, Moroccan blue chamomile, vanilla-laced sugar cane, warm rain, wild-harvested spruce tips and shimmery mermaid musk. It is an eau de parfum, edp.

Arcana Wildcraft perfumes are indie, small batch handmade.

ARCANA WILDCRAFT CASCADIAN MERMAID REVIEWS

Reddit: "In the bottle, I can smell the grapefruit (bright and fruity) and a strong spruce note. Wet on my skin, there are hints of cotton candy and the grapefruit is still there. Once it's dry, I still get the grapefruit and, I believe, the vanilla-laced sugar cane as it's faintly sweet with a hint of vanilla. There's something else there, which I can't really pinpoint but I guess that it might be the terpene? It's a faint note of orange and pine, but I don't know if that's actually terpene. It doesn't smell bad and I haven't gotten a comment on it either, but I can't say what it is. Hours later, the cotton candy comes back and the scent is a grapefruit cotton candy at that point, but it's rather faint."

Bunny Echoes-Word Press: "Cascadian Mermaid is very sharp on the cannabis at first but the strong rain and gentle spruce notes are not far behind. The grapefruit and cotton candy provide some sweetness but they’re not in the spotlight on my skin. I have seen some people say that Cascadian Mermaid is a sweet scent but on me it’s mostly a fresh aquatic. The cannabis note doesn’t smell like a joint. After 10 minutes or so, it loses its sharpness and the perfume remains green and wet, thanks to the spruce and rain accord. Later on, the calming chamomile unfolds its petals, taking the cannabis down a few more notches. The sugar cane is barely there, I think, but the sweetness does become more apparent as the cannabis dissipates. I believe this is a lovely perfume that you can wear pretty much throughout the year. Because there’s no patchouli or cannabis smoke, you could wear Cascadian Mermaid to work or school but keep in mind that its sharpness in the early stages could bother some people."

Indie Scent Library: "Opens as an earthy blue creamy candy scent, reminiscent of blue raspberry cotton candy shaved ice eaten under a sappy pine tree in the heat of a humid summer, with just enough of a citrus suggestion to keep it from feeling sticky-sweet. Dry down gives way to more herbal nuance of chamomile and the beautiful mermaid musk with cotton candy and grapefruit retreating to the background but still present. Such a perfect well blended scent!"

Indie Scent Library: "My first thought before reviewing the notes: aquatic sugar musk. This is somehow cozy? Maybe it’s the chamomile. Not getting a ton of cannabis. This ends up being really quite nice and soft on me, and definitely unique!"

Indie Scent Library: "This is interesting and definitely aquatic. I mostly get the smell of rain with an adjacent note – I think it’s a combination of the grapefruit, chamomile, and cotton candy. It’s not particularly bright or heavy, but it does seem very much like a mermaid and somehow manages to smell wet. It reminds me of being on the coast during a rainy afternoon."

Indie Scent Library: "Surprise winner. Immediately applied it’s a blast of sweetness from the cotton candy + grapefruit + vanilla. As it dries down I get more of the herbal chamomile, rainy sweetness, and musk. The grapefruit sticks around for ~3 hours then it fades to a sweet, but not sugary sweet, herbal blend. The spruce is light on me and most prominent in the early drydown. Only at the very beginning do I get a hint of cannabis – like the smell of a dab (concentrated cannabis oil), not burning or fresh marijuana bud – so it’s a safe for work perfume. Love!"
