Description

Arielle Shoshana Sunday was launched in 2019, quickly sold out and has been so hard to get since, but it's back!.  Created by Cecile Hua, it is a gentle swirl of matcha green tea, creamy rice milk and a delicious sprinkle of cinnamon. Sunday serenity, any day of the week.

From March's Review of Sunday on Perfume Posse "This is…… this is one of those handful of perfumes that I sniff and think, you made this just for me.  It’s a perfect comfort scent, and perfect for this time of year. On my skin it starts out a little sharper and greener with the matcha, although still very creamy as you’d expect with that list of notes.  The spices show up a few minutes later.  It’s gourmand, yes, but for something inspired by an actual milky drink it’s not especially food-ish (drink-ish?). The far drydown on me has a hint of a milky-sweet finish I jokingly called Froot Loop accord (to a look of abject horror from Ari, lol) – I think a nose-trick of the vanilla and coconut? I dunno, but it’s great."

Notes: Matcha Tea, Rice Milk, Cinnamon, Maté Absolute, Cardamom, Coconut, Amber, Sandalwood, Vanilla

Arielle Shoshana Sunday Reviews

Fragrantica - "It’s like a creamy hug with good (but not annoy people across the room) silage that lasts 12+ hours on the skin. I love it for having the creaminess of a lactonic fragrance with none of the sourness of a cow milk or butter fragrance. Opening is creamy, matcha, and very rice-y. It stays creamy and warm throughout but as it evolves you get the matcha and mate notes peeking through as well as the cardamom (lovely but not too strong) and sandalwood. It’s unique but not so avant garde that it would put off people around you- office safe in my opinion. Gourmand but not sweet and never cloying."

Fragrantica - "The rice note at the top is photorealistic fresh, steamy rice. And then the boba tea accord follows. This could have just been a novelty fragrance based on the top notes alone, but there’s a lot of complexity and depth in the whole composition that make it into something really special. The floral spiciness from cardamom and the sandalwood in the base make it feel fresh and contemporary while an overall lightness (from the green tea notes) and restraint in the sweetness make it stand out from other gourmands. This is unlike anything I’ve smelled before while still being totally wearable."

Fragrantica - "My favorite of the three weekend fragrances! It's sweet and gourmand but still has an earthy, grassy vibe to it. Like drinking a boba tea on a picnic in the park. Huge fan!"
