Description

Bvlgari Au The Vert  was launched in 1991, created by Jean-Claude Ellena. Originally the scent was developed as part of the Dior Fahrenheit project, but The Vert in its final form didn't fit, and it went to Bulgari as their first entry into the perfume market.  A citrus aromatic, it has become a classic. With notes of bergamot, bitter orange, orange blossom, Ceylon cardamom, pepper, coriander, Bulgarian rose, jasmine, green tea, and smoked wood, Bvlgari Au The Vert is refreshing and gorgeous!

Bvlgari Au The Vert Reviews

Bois de Jasmin - "I find that the most beautiful aspect of Thé Vert is how cleverly it interprets the classical citrus eau de cologne theme, rendering it fresh, memorable, and above all, timeless. The bergamot and pepper provide the immediately recognizable and alluring freshness, but at the same time, Thé Vert feels soothing and tender on my skin, in contrast to the exhilarating brightness of of a classical cologne."

Basenotes - "Bulgari Cologne Au Thé Vert is a beautiful, elegant, subtle fragrance. It opens with a soft gentle green citrus—on the card the cardamom and the rose come through clearly, but I cannot separate them out when I spray the scent on my skin. Then comes the tea note—a clean note with a mossy touch that is one of the most pleasant notes I’ve encountered in a long time. Doesn’t really smell like tea but it smells enough like tea for me to know that it is supposed to be the tea note. As far as longevity is concerned, I have found that, just like Bvlgari Pour Homme, it lasts longer than one would think, but I still have to refresh often. A wonderful, delicate fragrance, Bvlgari Eau Parfumée Cologne au Thé Vert is simply endearing."

Fragrantica - "This is one of those amazing scents I love so much that I’ve stopped wearing it at intervals of time so I can experience it fresh all over again."

A clean refresher on a warm day!

Bvlgari au Thé Vert Tea fragrances are some of my favorite treasures to hunt. I have sampled many tea fragrances and end up being disappointed by the tea notes. They almost always get buried by the accompanying notes. Not so with au Thé Vert! The fresh, very light, earthiness of Camellia sinensis leaves is present all the way through this fragrance. Crisp citrus, gentle spices and florals, breezy woods, and aqueous scents play important supporting rolls in stirring up this cooling scent. It lasts around four-five hours on me, with wateriness and verdancy in the dry down. It evokes a slight damp skin scent-much like stepping outside on a particularly humid and sticky day. Not at all grossly unpleasant or sweaty smelling, rather it lends itself to tempering those hot climates. Or maybe to be worn in cold weather to remind one of heated days ahead? Either way, I do enjoy this fragrance.

On Me! I Thought I Would Love It! Maybe You Will.

All the reviews I'd read about Au The Vert, as well as the list of notes given above, had me convinced that it would be my new favorite. I even purchased a fairly large sample. Testing it again this morning, I once again found that the combination of notes reminds me, for some reason, of Raid insect killer (not quite the effect I was looking for). Thus I encountered my very first "scrubber." That's what makes perfume such an ever-fascinating hobby, and what makes sites like this so invaluable to those who want to venture beyond department store testers without breaking the bank. Bravo, Surrender to Chance!
