When you think of a cold winter's night you think of cold air, the scent of evergreen and a waft of someone's fireplace or wood stove. If you are lucky enough to be around a Christmas market and can experience the smell of roasted chestnuts, candy, spices, winter fruits and hot chocolate, those festive scents just add to the ambiance. And when it's night time the smell of creamy coffee, roasted peanuts, pine nuts and pumpkin seeds are just perfect to freeze all the moments in memory. In places where it snows, winters are often described as white and frosty and to make the picture more vivid is the smell of trees covered with snow and of wet wood, soft and green accords wafting from the leaves. The outdoors are covered in snow and all things are frozen solid.
You will receive a 1/2ml sample (1ml sample vial filled half full) of each of the fragrances in this sampler.
- Botica Botanica Winter Woods EDP - The scent of a coniferous forest with notes of peppermint, vetiver and snowfall.
- BPAL Klosterruine in Winter Mit Blick Auf Heisterbach Perfume Oil – Crumbling marble under a blanket of snow, echoes of incense smoke and crushed frankincense tears. Little breaths from a distant pine forest on cold stirrings of wind.
- Morari Pomanders in the Wildwood Perfume Oil - Pomanders (clove-studded oranges) hanging from gnarled branches in the wildwood. Deeper within the brambles lies a crone’s cottage. A bitter winter wind is blowing through the wildwood, causing the pomanders to swing precariously from the tree branches. With notes of orange, clove, fir balsam and cold air.
- Nui Cobalt Frozen Forest Perfume Oil - Nui Cobalt's "cold" accord casts a frost over balsam fir, sweet cedarwood, blue spruce and moss with a foundation of vetiver and verdigris musk.
- Obscura Hortus Ode to a Snowy Evening Perfume Oil - A magical blend of earthy trees like juniper and balsam fir, swirl among the scent of mints, spices, mulled fruits, hot cocoa and the evening winter wind.
- Paranormal Perfumes Jack Frost Perfume Oil - Jack Frost is thought to come from Jokul Frosti (or 'icicle frost'), son of the Norse god of the winds - the personification of the chill of winter and the one who nipped the noses of children with his icy bite. Chilled air and crisp fir needle, cool blue juniper and mountain pine. Icy mint, rosemary and crystalline lemon. Frozen earth and sap and a hint of sweet vanilla.
- The Little Book Eater Winter Wonderland Perfume Oil - This fragrance is inspired by the magical winter season. Made with the scents of frosted pine, fir needles, cedar bark, and eucalyptus. A scent straight from the forest. Woodsy, fresh, and nostalgic.
- The Snowy White Owl Winter's Tale Perfume Oil - This is old New York City during the winter and all the sights, smells, and sounds. This scent has a prominent note of roasted chestnuts, children eating their licorice laced candies of the time, and the cedar wood used to burn the fires around the city and the woodsheds where they stored the wood. A warm fragrance, just like sitting beside a good fire when it is freezing outdoors. With notes of roasted chestnuts, rum, pipe tobacco, honey, licorice and firewood all sitting on a bed of tonka bean accord.
