Dana Chantilly was first launched in 1941 by Houbigant. It has gone through many reformulations since that time and this is the current formulation that is available on the market. Chantilly is an oriental/floral chypre fragrance that was created by Marcel Billot. It was named after the famous Chantilly lace and is still beloved today by both young and old. Chantilly features top notes of fruity notes, neroli, bergamot and lemon; middle notes of spices, carnation, jasmine, ylang-ylang, rose and orange blossom; and base notes of leather, tonka bean, musk, benzoin, oak moss, vanilla and sandalwoood. It is an eau de toilette, edt.
Fragrantica: "I'm just loving this creamy, slightly spicy scent that cannot be duplicated! It is just soft and cozy."
Fragrantica: "It’s distinctive but not intrusive. It’s very warm and floaty. It’s light like clouds, not weak. It’s lemony as in meringue, with sweetness and froth taking the edge off any citrus sharpness, then morphing into orange blossoms. It’s powdery, fluffy, with lots of spices that are muted by vanilla."
