Dana Classic Fragrances English Leather Cologne Created by Javier Serra and launched in 1949, English Leather was a staple in every man's medicine chest in the 1960s. It packs a bit of a punch but dries down into a spicy chypre leather fragrance. This one takes me back immediately as, like a lot of other people, my father wore this one. It features top notes of bergamot, lavender, lemon, orange and rosemary; middle notes of honey, iris and rose; and base notes of cedar, musk, tonka bean, leather and vetiver.
It has gone through many reformulations and this is the version of the fragrance that is currently available for sale.
Fragrantica: "Lovely deep phenolic tanned leather with dry citruses and woods, florals, honey, rosemary, lavender and vetiver. Smells old school and not fussy, slightly soapy and stark."
Fragrantica: "Very warm, clean, and fresh, and one of a kind."
