Dior Bois d'Argent is part of the Sensuals Collection. Like a caress of the skin, these fragrances insistently whisper that they are indispensable. Powdery iris, milky sandalwood, enveloping musks and juicy pear all express their own sensual emotion. Fragrances in this collection include Patchouli Imperial, Bois d'Argent, DiorAmour and Balade Sauvage.
It was created by Francois Demachy who says this about the fragrance: "Feminine or masculine? Bois d'argent doesn't choose; it is a like a white shirt worn by anyone who chooses to wear it. An exquisite Dior allure accompanied by an iconic scent caresses the skin. Iris Absolute adds elegance and blends with sensual musks before diving into mysterious smoky Frankincense. This composition of contrasts plays out between noble florals and taut softness."
Bois d'Argent is a woody chypre fragrance with notes of incense, myrrh, honey and leather. A bewitching scent that is perfect for both men and women. It is an eau de parfum, edp.
Dior’s luxury fragrance line La Collection Privée has been reimagined for 2018, offering a new way for you to be dressed in Dior. Rebranded as Maison Christian Dior, it goes beyond a collection of fragrances to become a somewhat ritualistic concept; that of perfuming and embellishing spaces and moments in your life. “When I create perfumes I flout technical constraints, schedules, fashions and trends,” Demachy explains of his artistic process. The fragrances in this collection are formed in families of Orientals, Florals, Sensuals, Light Florals and Fruity Florals, non-specific to gender but without being labelled ‘unisex’.
From Basenotes - "My most worn fragrance for a reason. I find the overall personality of Bois d'Argent more interesting than the individual notes. It really gives off a sophisticated vibe, subtle, warm, airy. Somehow the scent really makes itself known, without pushing itself forward as a "cologne"; almost like the scent of someone's skin. Usually I hate to characterize a fragrance as "smelling expensive", but I have to make an exception for this fragrance. I get compliments consistently. Goes well for work, formal, night out - you name it. If I could only keep three fragrances in my collection and get rid of the rest, this would easily be among those three."
From What Men Should Smell Like - "This is a remarkable scent, pared back and simple yet wonderfully refined. It is for the sophisticated man who has taken the day off to relax. This man is polite, straightforward, without a hidden agenda. Bois D’Argent has a sense of vulnerability to it and suits wearers both young and mature who reflect the fragrance’s gentler attributes."
From Perfume Smellin' Things - "As in Bvlgari Black and Patchouli 24, Menardo masterfully combines here the seemingly incompatible or, rather, the extreme opposite elements: the dry, austere leather and incense and the soft, sweet notes of vanilla, iris and honey. The result is a gentle, velvety fragrance, perhaps the most subtle of Menardo’s creations, yet its subtlety does not make Bois d’Argent indistinct or pale. The incense, which is most prominent in the beginning, does not completely disappear till the very end, beautifully complimenting the woody accord"
From Olfactoria's Travels - "Bois d’Argent has a soft, second-skin feeling about it and wears very close to the body. It is a joy to catch its aroma every now and then. Lasting power is very good and it gets somewhat woodier as time goes on."

this fragrance is elegant, very refined and sophistiqué.Un wonderful work around the incense, iris and honey. The only interesting fragrance in this collection
This may be my signature scent. It is soft and not in your face and I love the white musk notes. The longevity is amazing also.
