Dior Eden-Roc is an amber floral introduced in 2021. It pays homage to the luxury Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc on the French Riviera - sun bathed Mediterranean, sea salt spray, sun-warmed skin and the pine sheltering the area.
It was created by perfumer Francois Demachy with notes of citrus, sea salt, mineral notes, jasmine, mastic, lentisque, coconut, pine and labdanum. It is an eau de parfum, edp.
The Managing Director of the hotel, Philippe Perd: “This fragrance marks the union of two icons of French heritage and elegance for whom innovation and tradition are closely linked. We are in tune. François Demachy has succeeded at turning a dream into reality with this unique fragrance that so incredibly resembles the location.”
Dior’s luxury fragrance line La Collection Privée has been reimagined in 2018, offering a new way for you to be dressed in Dior. Rebranded as Maison Christian Dior, it goes beyond a collection of fragrances to become a somewhat ritualistic concept; that of perfuming and embellishing spaces and moments in your life. “When I create perfumes I flout technical constraints, schedules, fashions and trends,” Demachy explains of his artistic process. The fragrances in this collection are formed in families of Orientals, Florals, Sensuals, Light Florals and Fruity Florals, non-specific to gender but without being labelled ‘unisex’.
The Black Narcissus - "pure aquatic sea air creation, with Mediterranean citruses and a solar sea promenade jasmine with hints within of troubling indoles; otherwise, all is saline, sun-bleached, clear and dreamy, except for a note of pine that grounds the proceedings in a slight hint of dry virility...the scent itself – simple, harmonious; is pleasing. As a fan, in very hot summer weather, of Il Profumo’s beachwalk Aria Di Mare, to which Eden Roc bears some resemblance, I can imagine this being quite cooling and gentrifying to the senses when the heat gets too much..."
Fragrantica - "To me it’s very salty, skin out of the ocean on vacation vibe for sure. I feel like if Wood Sage & Sea Salt + Eau de Soleil Blanc had a baby this would be it. This out performs both in terms of lasting power & silage which is somewhat rare for this type of scent."
