Description

Dries Van Noten Camomille Satin was launched in 2024. A warm, with a tinge of green vanilla fragrance created by Julien Rasquinet and Paul Guerlain. It has notes of chamomile, petitgrain, lavender, orange blossom, rose, vanilla, musk and galbanum.  Dries Van Noten Camomille Satinis an eau de parfum, edp.

From the brand - “Camomille Satin reimagines the wildflower’s soft innocence by dousing it with the gourmand and leathery facets of vanilla. The bucolic day flower shifts to night mode. Like the fluid drape of precious satin, a tactile charm surfaces as an aromatic, amber juice that is at once softly decadent and sophisticated. An enveloping evocation of savoir-faire."

“The extreme addiction of vanilla bean, coloured by the bucolic charm of chamomile.” — Julien Rasquinet and Paul Guerlain, Perfumers

Dries Van Noten Camomille Satin Reviews

Fragrantica - "This fragrance instantly transports me to a wide wooden swing on a wraparound porch, swaying gently on a warm summer afternoon in the countryside. The swing is scattered with mismatched, colorful pillows—like a patchwork quilt come to life—that remind me of the dried wildflowers I’ve braided into my hair. It’s summery chic and just sweet enough, an absolutely lovely aromatic vanilla that feels effortless, nostalgic, and quietly radiant."

Fragrantica - "A fleeting fragrance that charmed me as it evolved from crisp camomile tea to a magical and addictive vanilla-soaked orange blossom drydown."

Fragrantica - "Camomille Satin is such a calming, cocooning scent. It opens with fresh chamomile, petitgrain, and a smooth pop of lavender—green, soft, and just a little bright. Then the vanilla slowly warms, turning resinous and honeyed, almost like suede. It’s never loud or overly sweet—just cozy, comforting, and quietly elegant. A soft vanilla with a beautiful twist."

Fragrantica - "This is so gorgeous. Very, very unique scent. Not a floral, not a gourmand, not strictly aromatic.
To me, the chamomile is the star of this! Other reviewers said that chamomile only lasts for a very short time, but to my nose it is present throughout. Fragrance opens very sharp, almost medicinal and very herby. In just a few minutes the lavender comes through as the scent softens and becomes less medicinal, and this stage does bear resemblance to Lutens' Fourreau Noir, although Fourreau is much heavier on lavender and has no vanilla. The drydown is extremely satisfying and gentle blend of soft vanilla, hints of musk and chamomile. Creamy! Absolutely lovely fragrance! Chamomile is one of my favorite notes, and it is so rare in perfumery. An absolutely stunning and full bottle worthy for me."

Fragrantica - "Absolutely beautiful fragrance. This scent opens green, heavy on the petitgrain & chamomille but the magic happens when it quickly dries down to an aromatic vanilla with prominent lavender and hints of an almost leathery base. I find this scent to be very cozy & comforting, it stays quite linear on skin with very strong projection the first two-three hours. To me this is mainly a vanilla-lavender scent, great cool weather fragrance for fall/winter, unisex."
