Description

Bois d'Ombrie is a sensorial journey into the wood of Umbria, the deep forest of Central Italy in a landscape of rolling green hills. Its fragrance is evoked by notes of ancient woods and iris, which blend with a hint of cognac, leather and vetiver, to yield a golden drydown with imperceptibly floral shades of amber. A wonderful classic and truly Italian fragrance it features top notes of cognac, calamus and wild carrot; middle notes of leather, iris rhyzome and copahu; and base notes of tobacco, opoponax, vetiver and patchouli. Created by Bertrand Duchafour, it is an eau de toilette, edt.

    Nice but not special

GI smell green wood over charred wood notes. It doesn’t change much over the course of the day, with that light green wood like dry coriander seeds, a bitter green herby element, and some darker base woods. I don't get much of the resins, and no incense to speak of. Overall, it's nice but not different from other things I've tried, and doesn’t live up to the notes listed for me.
