Popcorn Cake is an oriental vanilla fragrance that launched in 2025 and was created by Federico Cantelli. Butter-drenched, freshly popped popcorn, salted and toasty, transports you into a comfortably well-worn seat at your favorite movie theatre, giddy with anticipation as the lights dim. Then, the cake--impossibly rich, with vanilla, butter, and brioche delivering the intensely savory and sweet facets with equally mouthwatering aplomb--provides the perfect gourmand base for the still fresh-from-the-bag popcorn note. It's popcorn. It's cake. Most of all, it's a unique and delicious sensory experience you won't be able to resist. Featuring top notes of popcorn and caramel; middle notes of sugar cane and butter; and base notes of vanilla, strawberry and brioche. Popcorn Cake is an extrait de parfum.
Fragrantica: "This is what would happen if “movie theater buttered-flavor” popcorn met a Twinkie and had a child."
Fragrantica: "Let me be the first to review this perfume. If you are, as I am, a sweet, vanilla gourmand lover, you will want to get this. Especially for the price. This is an extrait de parfum, so the fragrance is strong, especially the popcorn opening. I have a few other popcorns and it is hard to find one that lasts -- I just got this but I will come back and update this analysis once I have tried it for a while. I should add that when the top notes dissipate, there is a sort of butter smell that can be a little acrid. I am waiting to see if that evolves. It is mostly sweet and light. Every one of the notes listed is detectable and the combination is delicious without being too overpowering or cloying. It is just lovely and yummy. I don't see it as unisex -- this is girlie."
Reddit: "I added this one in for funsies and I thought it would be interesting to try. This is just straight up caramel popcorn with a hint of salted butter. It's unique to say the least and not what I expected."
Lemon8: "Smells just like the name. A gourmand, fruity and buttery scent. Dried down to caramel and lactonic scent."
