Spring 26 is a floral green fragrance that launched in 2026 and was created by Elodie Durande. From their website: New light washes over the land. Fields and hills, hedges, roads. Ordinary England. Then it touches something else. A heady tangle of green and white blossom, organic and unruly. A cacophony of birds. Meadowland. Pools of water, trickling streams. For Spring 26 we have partnered with Knepp Wilding in Sussex. Together we’ve created a fragrance that emulates the rewilded landscape fostered here for a quarter of a century. We begin at dawn, with the luminous freshness of spring. A citrus accord of lemon, bitter orange and petitgrain shimmers – then hums into life with Timut pepper and ginger root, like insects rising into the sun. Knepp’s landscape is crowned with a tousle of thorns. Home to rare nightingales in remarkable abundance, this wild scrubland comes to life in spring. The dazzling scents of blackthorn and hawthorn blossom bloom in succession through April and May. To capture Knepp’s Wildland, we reached for a new ingredient – broom, native to northern Europe. The absolute obtained from this cheerful yellow shrub shares its honeyed florality with the paler flowers of the hawthorn tree. To enrich our clouds of blossom, we called on neroli and rose for their quiet power. Where we wandered wild meadows with Knepp’s custodians, goat willow and individual hawthorns rose up around us in fantastic shapes. At Knepp they call this ‘goat topiary’, pruned into shape by the animals. For the meadow and its sculptures we reached for more unusual notes – herbal, rooty valerian, which grows wild at Knepp, in a pairing with delicate elemi, a resin with a unique, spiced citrus facet. Running through the landscape, its most powerful creator is water. At the sides of the streams and pools are trees made abstract. Some have already fallen, leaving conical stumps. Others look ready to topple, drifts of fragrant wood shavings at their roots. For the mischievous landscape engineers who carved out these strange shapes, we blended red cedar with ho wood.
Spring 26 features top notes of elemi, petitgrain, blue chamomile, ginger root, lemon rind, cognac oil, bitter orange rind and Timut pepper; middle notes of tuberose, Valerian root, bergamot rind, ho wood, neroli and rose de Mai; and base notes of broom, red cedar and orange flower. It is an eau de parfum, edp.
FFERN SPRING 26 REVIEWS
Fragrantica: "My first purchase with Fern. First impressions love it. Very spring very floral forward, but lots of depth. Very fresh but warm."
Fragrantica: "Initial impressions: This one is love at first sniff for me! This is beautiful. Opens bright and zesty - citrus notes jump out most on first spray. Goes into mid notes after about 30 mins or so. I can sense the floral peeping through - the tuberose is not beastly nor indolic but rather, soft and almost warming. The floral notes are green and stem fresh rather than overly heady - I very much appreciate this. It has a soft, freshness which on my skin, reads more feminine than some of the other releases. The citrus stays throughout wear. Doesn't smell like anything else - it's very unique, natural and uplifting. It smells extremely clean without being 'soapy'. Grounded, fresh and hopeful - that's the feeling it offers. It's really rather lovely."
Fragrantica: "Smells to me at first, very grassy- with a zing of citrus, and settled gently into what smells intensely like Queen Ann’s lace. It reminds me of walking up a field of long grass and prairie. Slightly wet, very fresh. It’s lasted on me for about 4 hours now, and even though my family has strong noses, my father can still tell when I walk upstairs from across the house- so I’d consider it very strong. If you like Queen Anne’s lace, I would recommend!"
Fragrantica: "So beautiful! I love spring and this perfume definitely captures its essence. A photo-realistic green floral scent. It's a meadow of wildflowers in the spring. This scent feels both warm and cool at the same time---Just like spring! I really do like this perfume house, they don't just create scents, they create experiences and emotions. It's very clear to me how much effort and thought goes into these scents, with the movies, packaging, ingredients and the little extras they add in. If you want a realistic Spring scent that never smells artificial give this one a try!"
Fragrantica: "This opens with a tart, almost gooseberry-like brightness on my skin — sharp, green and slightly unexpected. It quickly settles into a zingy citrus with a fresh green edge that feels uplifting and clean. As it develops, it stays light and airy but maintains a clear presence, with soft wafts throughout the day rather than a constant projection. It never becomes heavy or tiring, and the character remains fresh and natural. A really easy, clear-head scent that wears beautifully and feels effortlessly put together."
Fragrantica: "This is one of the most realistic orange blossom scents ever. it reminds me of being a child and smelling the orange blossoms during spring by our house. feels like dawn and dew drops. I was scared for this one because I didn’t like Winter 26 but this is incredible. So beautiful."
Fragrantica: "I absolutely adore this! I know that I love citrus in perfumes, and this delivers for me. The opening is a nice mix of lemon, bergamot, and bitter orange, and the lemon sticks around for a while. It fades down to a very soft chamomile scent over the span of a few hours. As often with Ffern, the longevity isn't the best. I've only worn it at home, and it becomes quite close within a few hours (though I can just barely smell it on my wrist at the end of the day). I love how it develops on me, but I do wish that it lasted longer."
Fragrantica: "I was super skeptical going into Spring 26 because I hated Winter 26 and kept hearing that all of Ffern's perfumes smell the same, but I loved this immediately. I've been trying to find a non-rose, natural smelling wildflower and greens perfume for a long time now, and this is genuinely perfect. Yes, it's citrus, but on me it's citrusy in a smooth, wild floral way that I find insanely comforting. I can't speak to longevity yet but it does wear fairly close to the skin, which is my preference. Everyone has mentioned how earthy it is and I thought that might mean herbal in an organic cleaning product way, but it's not that at all. Just green, floral, and natural."
Reddit: "I just received Spring 26 and I think it’s my favourite so far?! One spray and I was sold! It reminds me a lot of Hermes fragrances like Jardin sur l’Herbe - very green, fresh, more “leafy” than floral (I don’t like rose scents on me, and I cannot smell roses in this at all so a win for me). It’s also not as powdery as I feared, feels very fresh. Very unisex and classy. I also loved Spring 25 but it didn’t last on me at all, this one seems to have a stronger, longer-lasting smell. For reference, I gravitate towards fresh, unisex fragrances eg Crayon Fougère Affair, or “skin” scents like Phlur Missing Person/Glossier You. While Spring 26 doesn’t smell like these at all, it does somehow fit in my lineup perfectly."
Reddit: "It's gorgeous. I'm having difficulty describing it - it's rather vegetal and warming. Not at all overpowering but quietly intriguing. Suits me very well. I've been a subscriber since Summer 2020. There were no standout Springs for me until now. It joins the following as my favourites: Summer 2020, Autumn 2024, Winter 2024."
