Guerlain Héritage was created by Jean-Paul Guerlain in 1992 - the third masculine fragrance from Guerlain. Heritage is a fragrance dedicated to the men of tomorrow yet inspired by yesterday's generations. It is a spicy oriental fragrance that features top notes of lemon and bergamot; middle notes of coriander and pink pepper; and a base note of patchouli, tonka bean and vanilla.
With the creation of Héritage, it was the first time that the term "Guerlinade" was used. Guerlinade is the accord that was used as a "house signature" in all of the classic Guerlain perfumes, and in many of their modern fragrances as well. It was developed by Aimé Guerlain, the creator of Jicky, and is said to contain bergamot, rose, jasmine, tonka bean, iris, and vanilla.

From Basenotes - "Patchouli, sandalwood, tobbacco, and Lavender. It is beautifully blended, seamless. More of a mature scent, though not dated in my opinion. Performance, ideal edt. Longevity good. Could still smell it faintly on the skin after 18 hours and a shower. Projection polite, but not weak. This has become something of a go to for me. It is effortlessly good."

Very balanced and well-blended. It's almost difficult to pick out individual notes. The top is bright and clean. When that burns off what's left is warmth and spice. This is an understated scent, less for the man who would allure strangers, more the man who would comfort the one he embraces.
