Description

The fragrances in the Les Absolus D'Orient collection are created from the quest of the most noble raw materials. It is an invitation to a journey of the senses with unique oriental fragrances. These warm and heady fragrances bring together all the power and beauty of Orient.

Musc Noble is a woody floral musk that launched in 2018. Created by Thierry Wasser, it is inspired by oriental lands and shines a light on one of the most mysterious ingredients in perfumery. With top notes of saffron, aldehydes and pink pepper; middle notes of musk, rose and geranium; and base notes of white musk, leather, cedar, white amber, orris and labdanum. It is an eau de parfum, edp.

GUERLAIN MUSC NOBLE REVIEWS

Fragrantica: "If you’re into Chanel No 5, Lanvin Arpège, Le Galion Sortilège like aldehydic, clean but sophisticated in a vintage way kind of scents, this one will become an addiction. Feminine with a cold, elegant attitude the musk accord and soft pink rose petals are just otherworldly. It’s been said to be discontinued, such a shame. Armani’s Musc Shamal is a twin, btw. If you can’t find Musc Noble, try Musc Shamal. They pretty much smell alike, and are hard to discern on skin."

Fragrantica: "This is the most elegant and sophisticated musc scent I’ve ever smelt. Most of the muscs out there are either too powdery, too clean/fresh, or too basic and juvenile. But not this. This is a spicy, woody musc that is quite different from any musc out there. It’s very warm and cozy. Could easily be worn by both genders."

Fragrantica: "A bold perfume of luxurious, high quality and elegant rose scent blended with powdery touches. You can always feel the luxury cosmetics brand image that Guerlain has brought and created from the past to the present by using this perfume."

Fragrantica: "It has the DNA of the Absolus d'orient series, and it's neither the best nor the worst (the best being in my opinion Bois mystérieux, and the worst Encens mythique and/or Patchouli ardent, which are not about incense nor patchouli). Musc noble is more of a woody metallic rose than a musk+centered fragrance. It is strong and long lasting. The opening is a bit in-your-face, then it gets gentler. It's a sharp rosey variation on Santal Royal. I went through a full bottle and I still don't know if I really like it. Certainly a good fragrance with good performance, well crafted, but somehow it lacks mystery. Very linear, stays forever on clothes, can be smoldering. On some days though I found some charm in it. But on other days I smelled something too metallic, very chemical. As I mentioned in another review, it may have to do with skin chemistry. Overall, if you want to be noticed and smell good, Musc Noble delivers, but I didn't really bond with it and there was no mystery like some perfumes have, when you discover new facets according to the weather, the time of the day or your own mood...7/10"

Fragrantica: "A spicy, waxy and piercingly powdery rose with red wine and raspberry. A play of contrasts. It lasts for a long time and it might be the THE most interesting, unisex and reliable rose on the market at present. Honourable mentions go to Francis Kurdjian’s L’Homme à la Rose, Velvet Rose & Oud from Jo Malone and Desert Eden from Estee Lauder. Forget the sour and overpriced TF Cafe Rose which is currently the hype. Musc Noble is a balsamic rose, rich and dark, adorned with bright sparkles of sawn metal and comforting musks. It gets better as it evolves. So, give it some time. I like the bottle too, I’m just against this forced Middle-Eastern marketing. Guerlain should keep celebrating their classic French roots with the use of materials sourced from around the world just as they’ve been doing it for hundreds of years. 9/10 a Masterpiece!"

Fragrantica: "A sophisticated blend of musk, amber, and wood notes, evoking an alluring warmth with a touch of floral sweetness that captivates the senses. My journey with Musc Noble began in the Guerlain Boutique at Galeries Lafayette. I was on the hunt for a scent that really spoke to me, trying out about 10 of them, four on my arms, but nothing quite hit the spot. I wandered around for a while, and suddenly, one of those fragrances on my arm just kept pulling me back. It was addictive, almost unfamiliar in a good way. At first, I couldn't pinpoint which one it was, but the longer it lingered, the more I found myself falling for it. So, I went back to Guerlain and bought my very first bottle of Musc Noble. I reserve it for special occasions; it's not an everyday scent for me. While its initial notes might not have been my immediate favorite, the heart and base notes unveil an unparalleled beauty. The middle notes weave a tale of opulence and allure, captivating the senses with their intricate blend. Yet, it's the enduring embrace of the base notes that etches an indelible memory. Musc Noble Guerlain isn't just a fragrance; it's an experience, something that evolves beautifully on the skin. It might not have been love at first sniff, but now, it's become an essential part of my collection. Its enduring presence is simply remarkable."
