Reddit: This is the one and only chocolate perfume ive ever come across that stayed smelling authentic and if anything just got creamier in the dry down. I full sized the oil then just full sized the EDP version and doused myself in it straight from the freezing mail. Im such a frag hag that it takes a lot for something to give me a vivid mental image of what I’m smelling. I sniff this and all I can see and smell and hear is the quiet churning of the super smooth milky chocolate river in Charlie & The Chocolate Factory. It also smells JUST like my Icecream specialty where I pour an entire packet of powdered Swiss miss with marshmallows on top of my vanilla bean Icecream (please try this, you won’t be let down). I am just blown away.
Reddit: Initial Thoughts: I’m realizing that Haus of Gloi is great at making different “flavors” of notes. Vice is a gooey chocolate, this is a powdery one. It truly does smell like a float of hot cocoa mix poured on top of a mug of hot milk, before it has a chance to mix in. I also get the marshmallow note, which smells like those little dehydrated marshmallows that come in instant cocoa packs. Drydown: Even more of a dry, powdery scent. I don’t get the fresh whipped cream, more like a pack of cocoa with powdered milk, cocoa mix, and mini dried marshmallows. This is a very interesting hot cocoa smell - more powdery than Vintner’s Reserve’s Mexican Hot Chocolate, but also more realistic. Rating: 7/10 Unique and enjoyable, much less gourmand than I was expecting. Will use up my sample and consider a FS.
