HENRY ROSE DARK IS NIGHT REVIEWS
Fragrantica: "Incredible. Best from the house. Linear and long lasting without a monstrous sillage. Perfect patchouli forward non cloying vanilla for spring summer. This has joined the permanent bottles in my collection."
Fragrantica: "I’m really liking what henry rose has done with vanilla! this adds a little lightness to the patchouli but not enough to sweeten it. it’s a match made in heaven, these notes are soulmates for sure. it’s like tucking yourself back into bed and smelling your pillow after realizing you don’t have any obligations for the day. this is a vanilla i would mayyyybe wear."
Fragrantica: "Dark is Night has this understated sex appeal that is simply irresistible. The touch of patchouli wins you over, as opposed to the overdose of patchouli in Floral Street’s Wild Vanilla Orchid. These fragrances have such similar profiles, I would consider this one to be Floral Street’s younger sister. When comparing the two, Dark is Night has a simpler composition and in my opinion this smells much nicer, smoother. I don’t hate patchouli as much with this fragrance."
Fragrantica: "Oh, Dark is Night, where do I even start? This scent has had me in a chokehold for 3 years now. This scent is just so me. It’s the perfect palatable patchouli, and I can imagine even a die-hard patchouli hater would be able to tolerate this. I think this is so well blended and smooth and gives me like a gothic vanilla vibe. The earthy, almost moss-like dampness, mixed with a super smooth vanilla is everything I could want from a fragrance. It makes me feel so grounded when I wear it and it lingers in my hair forever. I’m on my second bottle and will always keep this in my rotation. It’s my favorite bed time scent and I love it to layer it with all of my other vanilla fragrances. I also, love that it’s Phthalate free, and even although not all of my fragrances are clean, i always feel solid about choosing this one."
Fragrantica: "This is the fragrance that made me stop hating patchouli. It's simple and warm and comforting and sophisticated. Not for those looking for something complex."
Fragrantica: "Adding to my review after more time together: Utterly stunning. Always in the mood for this one. Compliments nearly every time I wear it. Smooth, rich, but never suffocating. It’s rare to find a dark/sexy scent that can just be huffed and huffed without eventually annoying. Chocolatey patchouli, dry vetiver, and decadent sweet vanilla. There is also this straight up grass note that is so earthy and sets it apart. Somehow it’s both memorable and unique, but also inoffensive. It is a sweeter leaning unisex frag."
