Description

From their website: "Where and when the wires of convention can be cut and left dangling. Rose is the lead role, elusive, very free, she hits the road leaving a trail of fresh hints of lavender and camphor on a warm and dark asphalt..." Apocalypstick features notes of mature crushed Rosa Damascena petals, Macadam (a type of road construction using compacted crushed stone) and metallic accents. Apocalypstick is an eau de parfum, edp.

MAD ET LEN APOCALYPSTICK REVIEWS

Fragrantica: Sweet rose petals. Dark lipstick. The apocalypse. What more do you need in a fragrance? A strange balance of playful sweetness, gothy disaffection, and just a pinch of industrial apathy. And yet, it is so wearable and perfect for those days when you want to revel in your discontent in style.

Fragrantica: Your lips, my lips, apocalypse. A gothic black rose forcing its way through the cracks of anything man made, asphalt, concrete, castles and dungeons. Expensive blood red lipstick. Alluring and vicious with a toxic hold on those who don’t love rose just to keep them coming back for more. Sleepyish herbal note, like belladonna. Keep asking for more of that weird addictive asphalt note but the rose always wins; and I keep sampling it.

Fragrantica: I find this fragrance absolutely addicting, just wish the asphalt note lasted longer. In the opening and first 30 minutes I pick up with clarity and definition: a fresh, light (but very present) rose and asphalt, and the mix is absolutely sublime. It has this insane contrast of chemical and natural that is just arresting. It’s the only decidedly evening-time fragrance I’ve been able to find that is refined and unusual enough for me to come back to every time. If you also struggle with finding clearly sensual fragrances that are interesting enough and have something fun to offer you while potentially attracting attention of others, you might be interested in this. After the opening I still love it, but the notes do blend into, well, a vintage lipstick scent. But still with an edge, maybe like a faint latex note. Vintage Catwoman vibes, good stuff! I think this is excellent and I’m so glad to finally have an evening scent I enjoy, after years of search. Curious to hear opinions of others.
