Description

From the Seasonal Collection, The Lingering Scent of Invisible Lilacs features notes of lilac, violet, violet leaf, humid air and gentle rain. A lush lilac note wafts through the night air while rain softly falls. Violets are crushed underfoot - their bruised petals smell powdery and soft, while their torn leaves are crisp, green, damp. The Lingering Scent of Invisible Lilacs is an eau de parfum, edp.

MORARI THE LINGERING SCENT OF INVISIBLE LILACS REVIEWS

Reddit: "This is the scent that introduced me to Morari! I love rain, and I love violets. So my search to have both has brought me here. It opens very ripe with dewy violets and lilacs. Like flowers after they were caught in the rain that are now wilting in the sunlight. While it does smell wet, it does not smell like rain to me. I'm personally not too big a fan of that sweet 'flowers starting to decay' smell, and it's quite prominent in the opening. As it dries it settles down and becomes a very sweet yet mellow--almost candied--violet with a hint of lilac, and it loses it's 'wetness' quality. Overall once it's dried down I find it quite pleasant! Longevity - 6-7 hours, but stayed very close to the skin. At the end I could still faintly smell it if I pressed my nose right against my wrist. Impressive! I'm having fun layering it with different petrichor notes I have. 7/10 (enjoyable just not me, but I didn't have the heart to give it a lower rating."

Reddit: "Smells like my childhood in the spring/summer, I just wish it had more longevity. Might FS anyway! 9/10"

Reddit: "Okay, okay, I see you Morari. It’s not soapy or lotion-like, not minty or violet-y, not full of amber or vanilla. It’s light and well-balanced and actually does smell like lilacs! There is a fresh vegetal spice (if you’ve smelled a tomato leaf you know what I’m talking about) that cleverly mimics how real lilacs smell. It’s close, but not 100% there - there’s some missing humidity. The violets also show up in the dry down, which I dislike. I know, I know, I’m being picky! I’m on a hunt for the Holy Grail of Lilac and I have a few more to try, but this is a worthy contender. Sadly only lasts a few hours. 7/10"

Reddit: "The purple and green floral notes of lilac, all woodsy-creamy with tiny perfumed petals dancing in the air. I'm not sure I get any violet individually; I think its purple notes are just reinforcing the lilac, though I'm a bit inexperienced with lilac perfumes (I don't seek them out, because it's among my least favorite of the florals) so I couldn't say for sure. Husband, who has loved the scent of lilacs ever since childhood thanks to his grandmother's lilac tree, said it is very accurate! Meanwhile, I definitely get the humidity. There's a warm, moist greenhouse effect making the flowers misted and vibrant. If you're skittish of ozone or petrichor notes, fear not, I don't get them here - the "rain" note seems folded into the "humidity" note."

Reddit: "I haven’t tried it as an EDP, but The Lingering Scent of Invisible Lilacs is really lovely, and the lilac is definitely the star. It’s putting your face into a lilac bush on a humid day after it rained in the morning, and the way that they can make it smell humid is crazy."
